What is your dream vacation? A trip to some super small, non-touristy European city where I don’t speak the language and don’t know anyone. Somewhere completely authentic and not Americanized at all.

What inspires your style? I mostly get my inspiration from different editorials and blogs. Whether it’s a mens editorial or womens, there’s always something that I can pull from it and find a way to apply it to myself.

What city has the best style? New York will always have the best style.

Who has wack style? Obnoxious women such as Lady Gaga and Britney Spears. They try too hard and it’s annoying. Also, anyone who only wears A&F and Hollister.

What trend do you want to see die? Fedoras and popped collars.

Most money spent on clothing? $345 on a D&G trench coat at one of their sample sales.

What do you collect? I actually collect postcards! They’re all at my parents’ house but I have hundreds. I also have a giant collection of magazines too.

Favorite brand? I am recently obsessed with Junya Watanabe’s Spring 2010 Collection. Anything super preppy with a rolled-up jean and a driving cap is my favorite.

Most common statement about your style? “Why are you wearing so many layers?!” No matter how hot it is, I will pile on the T-shirts just to add some extra bulk.

Item you most regret buying? All of the flip flops that I currently own, since I will probably never bother wearing them again.

What do you see as the next big trend? A giant architectural collar for men. Something ridiculous I am sure. Who knows, anything goes.

Trend proof style advice? Do your research and try to find things that are not typically worn by everyone else. Take ideas and concepts from menswear and womenswear and incorporate it somehow into your own style. Don’t let a particular brand or store sell you their style, just mix it up.

WHY WE COSIGN: Think of Topman as a hybrid of the best UNIQLO, H&M and runway fashion have to offer. The bad news first: The much-heralded U.S. store debut of British clothing empire Topshop (and Topman for men) has been pushed back. It now appears that the Soho NYC store will open in November. The good news? The e-commerce site for Topman is now open, meaning us Yankees have full access to Topman’s well-designed, affordable basics'not quite Uniqlo cheap, but close.

As it prepares for its grand U.S. opening, Topman is continuing an ongoing project in which it enlists designers to reintrepret a classic. For its latest, “The Black Trouser Project”, Topman enlisted five designers' Aitor Throup, Ann-Sofie Back, Patrik Ervell, Tim Hamilton and Todd Lynn'to reinvent the classic pant.
