Events Win Tickets To See Cambodia’s Tiny Toones Breakdance Crew


This afternoon in Ecko HQ, the Complex crew was treated to a special performance by the Tiny Toones, a breakdancing crew all the way from Cambodia. Not only was their routine sick, mixing traditional Cambodian dance with classic American b-boy style, but the crew stands for a good cause.

Since 2004, the group’s founder—a Cambodian-American b-boy from California named K.K.—has been helping underprivileged kids stay off the street by teaching them the art of breakdancing (read more about their story in this recent New York Times article). The crew is in NYC for a special performance/fundraiser on Friday night, which features DJ sets by Chris Robinson and DJ Ings, along with appearances from MC Tame One of the Artifacts and Cambodian MC Kadep.
