Meet Ashley Harkleroad, the #3 seed in our ranking.

Green grass, short skirts, loud grunts, and all white apparel are the sure signs that Wimbledon 2009 is beginning to heat up. While not all of us may be huge tennis enthusiasts, the on-court eye-candy is more than a good enough reason for us to tune in this weekend. Sports Serena Williams Talks Dating, Politics & Career Moves

If you follow tennis, it should come as no surprise that Serena Williams beat Neuza Silva in the first round of Wimbledon this afternoon. Now if you don’t follow tennis, you should at least follow Serena. Not only is Venus’ younger sister a monster on the court, but she’s cool as shit, which is why we featured the gloriously curvaceous superstar in the “Women Are Complex, Too” feature in Complex’s June/July 2009 issue. Check out the full article for Serena’s take on politics, breakups, career moves, and more.

Sports Caught On Tape! The Most Entertaining Sports Fan Takedowns

DV528200

Roger Federer won his first French Open yesterday, and while that’s a big deal, especially because he’s now tied with Pete Sampras for the most Grand Slam titles ever (14), the match itself was kind of boring. Well, most of it.

In an incident Federer described as “a touch scary,” a spectator ran onto the court and tried to put a beret on his head before dashing off in an attempt to evade security. The brave/crazy/drunk fan was taken down by a impressively solid tackle shortly after. Nice form! So nice that it got us thinking about some of our favorite sports fan takedowns by security, refs, and athletes. When you step on the field of play, it’s game on, bitch! Watch 5 classics below…

tennis_lead.jpg

This year’s a little strange though, with pro tennis’ reigning uber-hottie Maria Sharapova out with an injury. Thankfully, there’s a brand new crop of grunting, short skirt-wearing, (mostly) Eastern European females in this year’s tournament.

Check out our top 5 now…

Video Games Grunting With Maria Sharapova And Top Spin 3

lead-maria-back.jpg
Tennis, like golf, is a country club sport that we end up playing more of on Xbox than in real life. The sport is perfectly simple for the format'if you think about it, even the first video game, Pong, was basically a tennis sim. Our friends at 2K Sports invited Complex to Miami to preview Top Spin 3, and take loads of pictures of Maria Sharapova. We gladly obliged. See the highlights of our trip after the jump.
