When it came to sneakers this summer, there was no drought in solid releases. Nike used the Olympics to hype up a bunch of new models, there were a gang of dope collaborative sneakers, and all the majors stepped their shit up. Needless to say, sneakerheads felt the effects of the recession <em>early</em>.</p>
<p>With summer officially over (Sept 21 was the last day), we compiled a list of 16 sneakers (in no particular order) that we felt were the strongest to release during the warm-weather months. If you passed on <strike> any </strike> all of these, you&#39;re probably kicking yourself harder than the time you got an STD from that fake-and-bake chick you met at the Jersey Shore. Check out the list and leave us a comment about your favorites from this season.</p>
