It's not uncommon for Hollywood luminaries to turn on the people who made them. Tom Cruise famously fired his agents a couple of years back, and Orson Welles was long rumored to dredge his leading ladies in buttermilk and breadcrumbs, then deep-fry them for a tasty snack. But it's been a long time since someone let fame get to their head like Rocky, the grizzly bear from Semi-Pro, who killed his trainer yesterday in California with a bite to the neck.
Rocky, who another trainer had recently dubbed “the best working bear in the business” (not counting Kevin Smith, we're sure), was subdued with pepper spray and contained. His fate now rests in the hands of the San Bernardino County Animal Care and Control Program. After the jump, you can see poor bloodthirsty Rocky in happier times, wrestling Will Ferrell and plotting his ursine revolt in a training video.
Complex cover dude Will Ferrell stars in Old Spice’s latest batch of commercials as his Semi-Pro character Jackie Moon. Here are all eight spots, one funnier than the next. 98, 99, 100.
Far from amateurs, and always professional, that’s how we get down at Complex. Our cover subjects have been known to deliver the seasons’ best comedies (We see you Seth Rogen). So we kept it consistent for our Feb/March issue, pairing Semi-Pro stars Will Ferrell and Andre Benjamin on our cover. They had plenty to say about their new ABA-inspired comedy, groupies and haters. And when it came to the photo shoot they left it all on the court. This quote from Ferrell's publicist should give you some insight as to what went down: “Will doesn't think it's violent enough. Can he slam himself face-first through the hoop?” Click on the pic below to see for yourself. Till you see the rest of the issue, enough said.
Besides the cover story, our stomach-knot inducing N-Word Matrix, the L Word's Sapphic siren Sarah Shahi, and interviews with Jordan design O.G Tinker Hatfield, round out our lifestyle side of the book. As always this cover is one of two. Want to check the heat on the cover of our always progressive, never behind-product guide? Stay tuned for that tomorrow. ‘08 has arrived. We're here for the championship rings.
