Video Games Rockstar Debuts GTA IV ‘The Lost and Damned’ Trailer

gta.jpg
Downloadable content is the next realm of console gaming, and leave it to Rockstar Games to be an early innovator. While most DLC until now has consisted of cute little mini-games or disposable add-ons, Rockstar has crafted what amounts to a bona fide Grand Theft Auto IV sequel. In The Lost and Damned 'the first of two planned GTA IV downloadable episodes'you control Johnny Klebitz, VP of The Lost biker gang, as he struggles to keep his team’s crime operation afloat. For those that love pushing choppers in regular GTA games, this is a must-download.

The Lost and Damned will be available on Tuesday, February 17 for download from Xbox Live for 1,600 Microsoft points ($19.99). Microsoft is also offering five days of free Xbox Live Gold during the week of the episode’s release. Watch the just-released trailer below…

A couple of weeks ago, we posted a contest giving away a limited edition Rockstar Games and Jordan Brand package (see the original contest here). In the box-set was a Jordan Classic 87 and a copy of Rockstar Games' recently-released Midnight Club: Los Angeles. After holding a contest to come up with the best name for the Jordan 24, we sifted through 317 entries and picked two winners.

Sneakers Win The Midnight Club: Los Angeles Jordan Classic 87

box_black_combo_finallll.jpg
Two heavyweights in their respective fields, Rockstar Games and Jordan Brand, are celebrating a digital partnership with a limited-edition sneaker that’s inspired by street racing culture and the newly-released game Midnight Club: Los Angeles.

The special edition Jordan Classic 87 features the official Midnight Club “Kanji” symbol on the tongue, a character that represents the location on the Japanese coast where street racing started. The sneakers come in a custom etched acrylic collectors box with a copy of Midnight Club: Los Angeles. Limited to 40 pairs with a value of $380 per package, we're giving away 2 pairs to two lucky winners.

Video Games Midnight Club: Los Angeles Recreates Cali’s Real Streets

midnight-club.jpg
Cats were geeked over how well Rockstar recreated NYC (as Liberty City) in Grand Theft Auto IV, and early word is that Rockstar has done it again with the upcoming Midnight Club: Los Angeles (360, PS3)'this time with a photo-perfect recreation of the land of fake titties, bad fashion, and lame clubs.

The street racer features over 40 customizable vehicles (including motorcycles) and a bunch of different races throughout the freeways and back alleys of the city. And it wouldn’t be a Rockstar title without some po-po to avoid'the LAPD is watching, so get ready for some high-speed chases. Overall, the game is looking pretty tough. It drops on October 7, and we’ve got the spanking new trailer below.

Video Games GTA’s Gangster-est Trailer Yet

gtagangster.jpg
For the final Grand Theft Auto IV trailer before the game’s release on April 29, Rockstar Games went all out. Lock the kids in the bathroom with the water running because this one’s for adults only, with plenty of shoot-outs, car chases, strip clubs, hack saws and explosions. It’s only fitting that they chose Mavado’s “Gangster For Life” as the soundtrack. Get your IDs ready and watch the trailer after the jump…

Video Games Social Networking Like A Rockstar

rockstarsocialclub.jpg
With Grand Theft Auto 4 dropping on April 29, Rockstar Games is getting ready to launch the forward-thinking Rockstar Social Club. This website will allow GTA 4 players across the world (and fans of future Rockstar titles) to compete, interact and compare progress. All your stats will be linked up on leaderboards, which will let you see how you’re doing in the grand scheme of GTA players. Complete the game to get access to the “100% Club,” see the most dangerous neighborhoods on a aggregated police blotter, and compete in various other “Hall of Fame” benchmarks with your fellow geeks.

Using your gamertag or PSN ID, you’ll be able to register for the Rockstar Social Club on April 15, one week before the game’s release. If you’ve been living under a rock, watch the GTA 4 trailer after the jump…

Video Games Square Dance

When video game giant Rockstar puts out a game, controversy is never too far behind. Last night it made it's way into Rockstar’s plush NYC suite as Complex faced off against industry tastemakers, and other journalists in a heated battle of Rockstar Presents: Table Tennis. We got an exclusive preview of the new ping-pong game for Xbox 360 set to flare tempers and break competitive spirits this May. Sadly enough, Complex took an L in the semi-finals. But we're all warmed up now, anybody can get it.
