Resident Evil 5 Hunts Zombies In Africa
“Got any zombie in ya?? Want some???”
We heard that the annual E3 video game conference in L.A. has been lame this year, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t some exciting games to look forward to in 2009. The talk of E3 has been Resident Evil 5 (Capcom-360, PS3), the latest sequel in the franchise that fathered the current horror game movement.
In RE5, returning hero Chris Redfield and a partner who looks like a rugged Christina Milian (mmmmm….) head to Africa to combat a bioterrorist attack that’s turned people into bloodthirsty crazies. But wait—non-black protagonists going into scary Africa to take out monster black savages? The early trailer caused minor ripples of controversy for its “Heart of Darkness” feel, but the new one puts the focus on how awesome the gameplay is shaping up. The game is scheduled for a March 2009 release, so mark your calendars and watch the new trailer below.
