’80s babies, step to the rear. Best known for their work with Wu-Tang Clan, and Amy Winehouse, the El Michels Affair (Truth & Soul Records) are the real retro kids.

The New York funk/soul band is busy earning indie fanfare playing backup for Ghostface Killah, Raekwon, and Gza at live shows while doing co-production with Diddy’s new Hitmen'they replayed most of the sampled instruments (originally performed by by The Menahan Street Band) on Jay-Z’s “Roc Boys”.
