Music Within Reason

“After the show it’s the after party then/After the party it’s the hotel lobby and/After the Belve’ then it’s probably Cris’/And after the original it’s probably this…”
Back in high school when Jay-Z's first album Reasonable Doubt dropped, we thought Cristal was a premium beer and platinum was cheaper silver. Fast-forward 10 years on the night of the album's anniversary concert at Radio City Music Hall, and Jay-Z's kicked Cris to the curb and platinum is a fixture at the dentist's office. The milestone album is still teaching the babies, and so are the Roc-A-Fella sponsored parties. We were first in line at Sunday night's soiree at NYC's ultra-classy Rainbow Room to rub elbows with some of today's famous faces (too many to name) but became star-struck by some of Jay-Z's old running buddies: Sauce Money, Pain In Da Ass, and Irv Gotti. Our nostalgia for the old school was fulfilled, and so was our destiny when we got a blinding glimpse of Beyonce. Sorry fellas, no pictures, we had to show up extra early with the paparazzi for that.

Judging by the different color champagne bottle in hand, it can only be the guest of honor.

?uestlove from the Roots has his game face on.

Boxer Zab Juda.
“Plus the jab is sick, and its Zab quick/Left hand’ll lean ‘em like a little past six…”

The Rainbow Room. Excuse me miss?
