Wanna know how Lil’ Boosie feels about catching a two-year bid? Look no further than “Mind Of A Maniac.” The low-budget clip features Bad Azz between the studio and the insane asylum, and comes across as subtle commentary on his current mind state. We see jewelry and cash in one scenario and a straitjacket and restraint mask in the other. For a guy whose music videos are often filled with decadence, this is an interesting and well-executed diversion. The song was already out on his Superbad album before he got sentenced, but it looks like life imitated art with this one. Keep your head up, bro.

This Gucci Mane hit might have been the anthem to your rock star lifestyle this past summer, but it’s just now beginning to catch on in the mainstream, so believe it or not, the music video is arriving right on time. No elaborate visual concepts here either. The Mr. Boomtown directed clip is pretty much what you’d expect for a song about getting wasted. Thick chicks. Pool parties. White guys chugging alcohol. The whole nine. Of course, Plies shows up to deliver his anti-tight jeans verse and Shawty Lo even shares some screen time too. The other Gucci videos we’ve featured on here were banging and this one is no different. Don’t miss out.

Continuing our ongoing Best of the 2000s series, this week we counted down the Top 100 Internet Videos of the decade. With the overabundance of viral goodness, we didn’t have enough room to highlight all the amazing internet-based music videos that have dropped over the course of the Aughts. Don’t worry, we didn’t forget!
In the first half of the decade, D.I.Y., low budget videos had a home on SMACK DVDs, BET Uncut and local video shows like Video Music Box. But after the rise of YouTube in 2005, and the cancellation of BET Uncut in 2006, the hip-hop world finally warmed up to the idea of releasing music videos exclusively for the internet, brimming with not-safe-for-TV content. Watch Complex’s picks for the 10 best below…
When we first heard that Ghostface was doing an “R&B” album, we’ll admit we were skeptical…is Ghost Deini going 808s & Heartbreak on us? But the first single, “Baby,” a duet with DC-bred singer Raheem DeVaughn, fits in nicely with Ghost’s catalogue of heartfelt R&B duets like “All That I Got Is You,” “Back Like That,” and “Never Be The Same Again.”
If The Wizard Of Poetry: In Emerald City, which is slated for release on September 29, has more records like this then we aren’t that worried about the switch to R&B after all. Sensitive thugs might really need hugs. It’s good to see Tony Starks being honest about it.

He stole the show on 2007’s “Wipe Me Down (Remix)” and Webbie’s 2008 hit “Independent,” but it’s actually been three long years since Boosie Bad Azz had an album of his own. To celebrate his return, the pride of Baton Rouge recently dropped this new single with another one of Complex’s favorite rappers, Young Jeezy. Come to think of it, Boosie’s been in the game for a decade now (he released his debut at the age of 16), so hopefully this video is a sign that his long-awaited LP Super Bad: The Return of Bad Azz is actually dropping this year. You better believe it!

Cali producer Exile introduced the world to rapper Blu on their 2007 collaborative album Below The Heavens, one of the year’s best. Next up, Exile is producing Boy Meets World, the debut from Fresno, CA MC Fashawn, which drops on October 22. If Exile on the beats doesn’t sell you, then how about this: Alchemist reportedly called 20-year-old Fashawn a “West Coast Nas.” Oh, and he recently went on a European tour with Evidence, who also appeared in his last video. Phew! Okay, enough producer co-signs, we believe you. This kid is dope! [DJ Booth via NahRight]
