Movies Wachowski Bros Cast Keanu Reeves As Plastic Man

Speed Racer was a steaming turd and has yet to recoup its production costs, but apparently the Wachowski Brothers‘ shit simply doesn’t stink. Still eating off the success of The Matrix, the bros are now rumored to be preparing a big-budget feature film for comic hero Plastic Man, with Keanu Reeves in the titular role.
Plastic Man is known for fighting evil with a malleable body that can transform into any shape he imagines. He first emerged on Quality Comics in 1941, was acquired by DC Comics in 1956, and got a cartoon show in 1979. The character clearly inspired the Fantastic Four’s rubbery Mr. Fantastic, who first appeared in 1961, and Stretch Armstrong, the 1976 action figure with stretching limbs. Hopefully the rumors about the movie will be officially cleared up at Comic Con next week. Watch the 1979 intro for The Plastic Man Comedy/Adventure Show below.
