Now you would think, given their track record, that Moncler and Pharrell would produce something dope—at least as dope as any other Moncler or BBC product—but no. What we got was an odd, and presumably super-expensive product that only Pharrell would be able to rock without looking like an idiot. But this isn’t the first time Skateboard P has created some off-the-wall shit. It’s all he knows how to do, really! Don’t believe us? Take a look at five of his other ridiculous collaborations below…

Perspective Chair (Pharrell x Domeau & Pérès)
YEAR: 2008
• When asked about the idea behind this series of chairs that were shown at Emmanuel Perrotin Galeries gallery in France, P said: “I had often wondered what it’s like to truly be in love, not lust for once…So I decided not to ask what it was like in someone else’s shoes or what it was like to sit in their seat…I decided to sketch out my own experiment; the perspective chair.” That’s odd, because from our perspective, looking at the leg positions, it looks like a girl getting hit off from behind.

The Blason collection (Pharrell x Louis Vuitton x Camille Miceli)
YEAR: 2008
• Although Kanye named himself The Louis Vuitton Don, Pharrell was the first rapper to be asked to design anything for the iconic French fashion house. One of collaborations was the Blason jewelry collection which ranged in price from $2,000 to $621,000 and featured, among other things, a cool pair of door knocker looking earings we wouldn’t mind buying for our girl… and an odd gold ring with a cherub holding a big ass diamond (check it HERE). We’re guessing that was one of the pieces on the six figure side.

Hand Candle Collection (Pharrell Williams x Atelier WM)
YEAR: 20098
• Almost as famous as the Roc-A-Fella diamond sign is the Vulcan Salute Pharrell co-opted for his Star Trak label. Now, we think it’s a cool sign and all, but Pharrell must really like it as he went and made a series of candles molded after his hands. The run of 200 made with French design house Atelier WM featured the Vulcan sign along with some other random ones like, the West Side symbol, the rocker symbol and, of course, the flipping of the bird. All in all, it was pretty damn weird.

The Tank Chair (Pharrell x Galerie Emmanuel Perrotin)
YEAR: 2009
• Pharrell took another stab at chair creation, but this time he went with a more military look. Made out of plexiglass and full grain colt leather with Galerie Emmanuel Perrotin, the chairs are definitely better than the Perspective chairs.

Pharrell x Takashi Murakami x Jacob & Co.
YEAR: 2009
• To call this piece of art a “collaboration” is a bit of a stretch. Unveiled at Art Basel, the sculpture part was done by Takashi Murakami while Jacob the Jeweler recreated some of P’s favorite objects—Doritoes, Pepsi, Ice Cream sneakers and condoms—in fine metals and diamonds and placed them in the mouth of the sculpture. It can be interpreted a thousand ways, but it could only be purchased one way: with a $2 million check.

If N.E.R.D’s addition of sexy female member Rhea turns them into ubiquitous, radio mainstays (a la Black Eyed Peas post-Fergie), it won’t be because they started making sellout, pop music. The Pharrell-fronted band performed a record by the name of “WTF” or “Radio” on 90210 last night, and it seems like they aren’t making any drastic departures from their beloved signature sound. Which is good, because the new song sounds dope. We’re looking forward to hearing the full version on Instant Gratification sometime next year. Now it seems Pharrell wants to do the same with N.E.R.D. Recently, a PYT has been seen accompanying P, Chad and Shay on stage at various tour stops, leaving people wondering who she was. Then Star Trak rapper Fam-Lay was kind enough to clear up the confusion via Twitter, letting the world know that the girl in question was named Rhea and that she was the newest member of N.E.R.D. Oh yeah, and that she’s dope! But just how dope is she? Is she good enough to make N.E.R.D. sell a milli and get Pharrell on MSNBC as a talking head? In other words, is she as good as Fergie? Fergie: Calling Fergie a singer would be akin to calling Sean Kingston a reggae artist. It’s a bit of a stretch. Maybe the crystal meth left her vocal chords burnt out or something, who knows. All we know is that she has the vocal range of a Mack Truck.

Rhea: We haven’t heard too much from this Berklee College of Music grad yet, but judging from her cover of Robin Thicke’s “Lost Without U” and “Choreographer”, the first single from her Clumanati Records debut , we’re gonna say she’s got Fergie beat.

Rhea: To be fair, we haven’t seen Rhea do much on stage besides jump around and look pretty. But she’s Guyanese, so we’re sure she can at least wine a likkle bit.

Fergie: Despite having a face that, in the right (or wrong, rather) light, looks pretty haggard Fergie is somehow, undoubtedly sexy. Maybe it’s her style, her perfectly fit body, or her two’s. Or maybe it’s the fact that she gives off that “savage me” look. We can’t call it.

Rhea: Rhea is decidedly more attractive in the face, and has a sexy downtown chic steez—which is probably why Pharrell took a liking to her. But when she dresses up, it’s a wrap. No contest. Where as Fergie puts her freakiness on front street, Rhea has that lady in the streets, freak in the bed look going on. We like.

Fergie: Seeing as how she’s already had three #1 singles and a triple platinum debut solo album, we think her pop potential has already been realized. It’s yet to be seen if she can recreate the success of The Dutchess, but we’re gonna go ahead and bet on white with this one.

Rhea: As talented as she is, there are two things working against her road to stardom. 1. She’s signed to DJ Clue’s Cluemanti label and 2. Pharrell’s track record when it comes to launching the careers of new artists is pretty damn horrible. She’d have an equal chance coming out on Tru Warrior records.

Fergie: Being that we don’t know anyone in the group besides her and will.i.am, we’re gonna have to go out on a limb here and say she’s indispensable. Seriously, when was the last time you saw apl.de.ap or Taboo in the news? If one of them walked past you on the street would you know who they were? Didn’t think so.

Rhea: Since she just joined, it’s hard to say how important to the group she will be. But since Chad’s a mute, Pharrell can’t really sing (or rap) and we’re not sure what it is that Shay really does, it couldn’t hurt to have a talented vocalist in the group.
