SINCE: 2004

FOUNDED BY: Chris Isenberg

HOME BASE: New York

WHY WE CO-SIGN: Wearing throwbacks, or any jersey short of a soccer kit, hasn’t been fashionable for a good six years now. So what’s a true sports fan to do when they want to express their love of all things athletic? They should check out No Mas. Founded in 2004 by sports monomaniac Chris Isenberg, the brand began humbly with Isenberg making T-shirts for himself and friends. The shirts featured depictions of iconic and infamous sports moments and some of his childhood athletic heroes. After receiving large amounts of attention, both good and bad, Isenberg began selling his creations at local NYC shops Nom de Guerre, and Union

What are you saving up for the summer? Better parts for my bike.

What summer trends have you seen? Cut-off shorts or rolled up pants (jeans and cotton) dressed up with nice button down shirts and dressy shoes with no socks.

What is your dream vacation? Two weeks on a deserted tropical island by myself with drinkable water and fishing equipment.

What is the sneaker style you are rocking this season? I’ve been riding my bike a lot so plain vans lace-ups.

What’s your summer drink? Water!

Who inspires your style? I’m such a poser when it comes to this. I’m good at spotting people with good style and basically swagger jacking.

Style Buy It Now: No Mas Big Red Machine/Sport Shorts

untitled-1
Ever feel like rockin’ athletic shorts outside of the courts? We understand you want to be comfortable, but relying on your old gym shorts will make you look foolish. Instead, check out these shorts by No Mas. Continuing to marry nostalgic sports references with street-fashion, the brand cranked out these nylon bangers that make for the ultimate chill-wear during hot summer days. The red shorts pay tribute to the Cincinnati Reds, whose nickname was the “Big Red Machine” while they dominated the MLB from 1970 to 1976. Act like you know, and see below for pics of the two colorways and Buy It Now info…

Style David Rathman x No Mas NYC

rathmanlead.jpg
Clothing line No Mas NYC just posted its collaborative T-shirts with David Rathman, from a series titled “The Unkindest Cut”. The Minneapolis-based artist captures a unique story and spirit with each of his minimalist works, and these two shirts are an interesting look at the glory and dark side of boxing and car racing.

Two works “Beautiful Dollar” and “Into Your Arms” are translated onto No-Mas’ custom T-shirt blanks. They run slim, so if you don’t fit the hipster profile, up size one. They’re available now on the site’s store for $48. Read on to see the full T-shirt images…

Sneakers Daily Swagger: No Mas X Puma L.A First Rounds

no-mas-puma-first-round-lottery-lead.jpg
The nostalgic sports-enthused cats over at No Mas hooked back up with Puma for an L.A version of their Lottery First Rounds. The shoe which garners inspiration from past NBA drafts that bred both big-time ballers and disappointing busts will be released in limited qualities. Magic-bound heads can get first crack when the shoes drop at Undefeated's Las Vegas location on February 13.
