Jim Jones Makes A Splash

jimjuelz_splash.jpg
We’ve been waiting for the Capo to come out with another “Ballin’”-sized anthem, but so far he hasn’t dropped the right one. In the meantime, we’re loving his new slang phrase of choice, “Swag Splashing,” which he debuted in an interview with Complex. Now, Jones has immortalized the word in a new joint called “Splash,” featuring Juelz Santana and Jay-Z sound-alike NOE. After the jump, listen to the song.

Trendhumper: Oversized Headphones

headphones-trend1.jpg
Headphones are out of control. They’re just too damn big. Just when the size of mp3 players started to scale back to a convenient lapel size, music heads have started trading in their earbuds for something larger.

We understand the appeal—these electronic ear muffs are great for keeping warm and tuning out your soul-crushing reality. But if you aren’t a DJ, you may want to reconsider rocking these massive sweat boxes on an everyday basis. After the jump, let us know how you feel about this giant head accessory by voting in our hump or dump poll.

Our Radio Rips MP3s

radio.jpg
Television has TiVo, and now radio has PopCatcher’s ripper. Thanks to the Swedes, your favorite radio show can now go digital. Yes, it records!

The next time someone gets shot in the ass and then does an interview on Hot 97, you can instantly rip it and email the file to your friends in middle America. Just tune into a station, plug in a USB flash drive, a memory card, an iPod or Zune, and that song that you would have only heard once is yours for good. No external memory? Use the internal memory to save that exclusive track. Oh, and it keeps time too. Look out for the Ripper in retail stores this fall. See a close up of the simple controls after the jump.
