We’ve always repped for Quentin Tarantino (and his women) and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise in the past, so it was a pleasant surprise to run across this unique viral video that’s making its rounds on the web right now. Imagine if the worlds of Reservoir Dogs and TMNT were combined and this mash-up is what you get. Seems a bit odd, but trust us, if you like either in the least you’ll find this entertaining.

The stars of Twilight are starting riots across the world, but they aren't the first to make the kids lose their minds.

A throng of young female fans sounds awesome…until they tear you limb from limb.

Is it a full moon that’s driving young girls crazy? Nah, just a Twilight: New Moon. The new vamps and werewolves flick is making fans hormonally insane, just like the original Twilight film did in 2008. Over the last few years, the franchise’s star Robert Pattinson has gotten it the worst, dodging a mini-riot at an autograph session and taxis on the streets of NYC while running from his crazed fans. His co-stars Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart have caught their share of craziness too: last week in Brazil, 2,000 fans stormed their hotel and tried to rush their rooms before they were ultimately subdued by riot police.

It’s all proof that teenage girls are too imbalanced to be right in the head. It’s not like this should be news to any of us, either. This shit has been going on longer than Kotex has been easing girls’ transition into womanhood. Check out some of the crazier ways fans have showed their appreciation for the stars they love…

FRENZY: A free, radio-station-sponsored concert at the Brookdale Center Mall turned ugly when fans, outnumbering security 2,000 to 10, climbed onto stage and tackled Diddy’s boy band. Four people were taken to hospitals and five more had minor injuries treated at the mall. We can only imagine how many mall employees’ ears were hurt by B5.

FRENZY: Capitalizing on Frankie Blue Eyes’ popularity, the 3,500-person capacity Paramount Theater booked him for several back-to-back shows. When the shrieking chicks in the first show refused to leave, the 30,000-plus shrieking chicks outside went ape shit, sparking “The Columbus Day Riot.” Police had to be called in, but that wasn’t the end of the fuckery. Some of Sinatra’s obsessed fans reportedly sat through dozens of his performances consecutively without food and fainted while others had to be dragged out of the venue by ushers.

It’s no secret around here that the past 10 years have passed us by. While we’ve been obsessed with recollecting the best moments of the 2000s, it doesn’t hurt to take a look back at the craziness that was the final year of the ’90s.

Thinking about 1999, it seems like the cult classic, Fight Club, was just as culturally relevant as events like the Y2K scare or introduction of Eminem. That’s why special midnight screenings are being held in New York and Los Angeles on November 18 (Tuesday night, but technically Wednesday morning) to celebrate the film’s 10th anniversary. RSVP information is behind the link on each city. If you can’t make it or don’t live on the coasts, cop it on Blu-ray next Tuesday.

Comedy stars Tina Fey and Steve Carell were already close in a sense with 30 Rock and The Office running back-to-back on Thursday nights on NBC, and now they’re both at the helm of full-length feature film, Date Night. It doesn’t look groundbreaking, but there’s no way these two will get together without producing a good amount of solid laughs. The wacky premise of a couple on-the-run due to mistaken identity plus the overload of A-list cameos (Mila Kunis, Leighton Meester, Mark Wahlberg, James Franco, Mark Ruffalo, Kristen Wiig, Ray Liotta, Olivia Munn, etc) almost guarantee hit status for the flick. We’ll know for sure when it hits theaters in April.

We knew Tom Ford was a talented guy after his brand-defining work with Gucci, YSL, and his own label, but the multifaceted designer is moving onto movies now and he appears to be no slouch in that category either. His directorial debut, A Single Man, is about a gay college professor in 1960s California, whose boyfriend dies in front of him and the inner madness that ensues. Colin Firth won best actor honors at the Venice Film Festival for his performance, production design was handled by the Mad Men team, and general Oscar buzz has already started swirling for this dark, period piece. The film hits theaters in limited released on December 11.

You won’t catch “Jake Gyllenhaal on all fours getting a mouthful of Ledger” in this flick (word to the homie Jonah Hill), but it’s alright because Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time looks like it might be a decent film in its own regard. Disney, Jerry Bruckheimer, and the rest of the team that made the Pirates Of The Caribbean trilogy a success are converging their efforts once again for this future blockbuster. With a budget that’s clearly past the $100 million mark, it looks like the stigma of video game franchise-turned-movie franchise might be over for good.

This Friday, The Boondocks Saints II: All Saints Day hits theaters almost exactly a decade after the first film was released. Even if you haven’t seen the original cult classic, you’re bound to have a few friends that swear by it, and if the sequel is anything like it’s predecessor, it should be worth checking out. Unfortunately, we’re not sure if that’s going to be the case. This preview gives us a little bit of the “unnecessary sequel” vibe, but knowing the franchise’s penchant for highly stylized action, it’s possible that there’s some awesomeness waiting after these five minutes. We’ll find out soon enough.

Watch the craziest stunts from the man behind martial arts movie classic Ong Bak and its new sequel.

Growing up imitating actions greats Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan, Tony Jaa practiced his destiny for countless hours in his father’s rice paddy, using the family’s elephants as launch pads to practice flips into the river. At age 15, his dreams began to materialize when stuntman and action-film director Panna Rittikrai took him on as a protege. In 2003, Jaa’s big break came with the release of Ong-Bak: Muay Thai Warrior. Since then, Tony hasn’t disappointed, filming some of the best scenes in the biz—low budgets be damned!

Today, the sequel to his breakout film, Ong-Bak 2: The Beginning, finally hits theatres in the US. Need a good reason to go see it? How ’bout 10 of ’em? Below, we’ve compiled Tony’s best fight scenes for your viewing pleasure. Jaa Rule!

Ong-Bak 2, 2008
Tony Jaa not only reminds us why he’s so bad-ass in this sequel to Ong-Bak, he also shows off his improved acting abilities, with crazier screams and a wicked death stare sure to f*ck up any enemy’s combat confidence.

Before every other kid flick had CGI animation, the original Toy Story wowed shorties everywhere with its groundbreaking visual technology. 15 years and a lot of “practice” (i.e. more classic movies) later, Pixar is back with Toy Story 3, in Disney Digital 3-D no less. The story centers around Buzz Lightyear, Woody, and the rest of the crew’s new residence in a daycare center now that Andy is headed off to college. We don’t run out for every animated movie, but this one will definitely be seen, whether it’s with a young relative or other grown folks reliving their childhood. It doesn’t hit theaters until next summer, but we already know that those box office numbers are going to be a problem. Hopefully, the movie itself is too.

Halloween is quickly approaching, and while figuring out a costume is necessary, having a fleet of excellent horror flicks on deck is equally important. You’ve already seen the classics a million times, so look no further than Trick ‘r Treat, the future cult classic that’s finally making it’s way to DVD this week. In a move that Warner Bros. surely regrets, the film was never given a proper theatrical release, which has resulted in unusually high fanfare for its home release. Trick ‘r Treat may very well be sold out at your local retailers, but if you’re looking for a great movie that will scare the hell out of you at the same time, we suggest you try to scoop up a copy before it’s gone.

There’s been no shortage of promotion for next month’s highly anticipated disaster movie, 2012. You would think the world was ending in three weeks, not three years, with all the measures Columbia Pictures is taking to make sure everyone knows about this film. Commercials and press are crucial, but this five minute preview of the movie might have just sold us on copping on a ticket. Movies like this are about special effects and little else, and the clip above makes it clear that viewers won’t be shortchanged in that department. Mass apocalypse never looked so good.

Check out this preview for the updated George A. Romero classic before it hits theaters next year.

Even if you don’t know George A. Romero by name, we guarantee that you’re familiar with his movies. Zombie classics like Night Of The Living Dead and Dawn Of The Dead, amongst several others, have inspired countless horror films and even been outright remade. Modern Hollywood is living off Romero’s old ideas again, this time with the upcoming revision of his 1973 thriller, The Crazies. Contemporary audiences have responded well to updated versions of his movies and this one looks it’ll garner a similar reaction. Look out for this story of a Midwestern town gone awry in February of next year.

Just to give you a sense of where movies are right now, consider some current box office “hits”: a 3-D food movie, Bruce Willis in a hairpiece, a rehash of an ’80s musical, and two white people with chin dimples falling in love. You know what Hollywood needs right about now? Some BLAXPLOITATION, bitches! Thankfully, the beloved ’70s genre is poised for a comeback thanks to Michael Jai White, whose new movie Black Dynamite blasts its way into theaters in a couple of weeks. To give the kids a refresher, Complex put together an in-depth countdown of the genre’s best flicks, so you can know what’s really going down. Keep it pimpin’, pimpin’!

Everyone loves a good movie about directionless teens. Whether you relate to movie characters who led an equally messed up adolescence or you live vicariously through them, stories about lost young people who waste away on drugs and sex will probably strike a cord somewhere within you. Look for that type of effect from Afterschool, the widely celebrated independent movie that finally hits theaters (in limited release) tomorrow. It’s about a bunch of rich kids that get bored at their East Coast prep school. Naturally, the drugs come out at some point and the girls loosen up, but when two students die a cloud of paranoia is cast over everyone. Check out the trailer above and decide if you want to relive the darker parts of your teen years this weekend.

Remakes have characterized the horror film genre in recent years and the trend has claimed yet another classic franchise: A Nightmare On Elm Street. Academy Award-nominated actor Jackie Earle Haley has everyone buzzing about his role as the new Freddy Krueger and with a new face and more serious demeanor, we see why. Despite the decent chances that this flick could disappoint us, we’re interested, and the trailer does look great. Michael Bay even attached his name to the movie, so it’s definitely going to be big. We just hope that it’s good.

You've seen Complex's 100 Best, but you know it wasn't all good. Take a look back at the decade's most disappointing flicks.

It wasn’t all good. There were a lot of awesome movies that came out in the 2000s—you can check them out on Complex’s 100 Best Movies of the 2000s countdown if you haven’t already—but there was a lot of disappointing dog shit too. Not all of the decade’s bad movies were intended for us, of course, but there were a number of flicks that had us amped, only to leave us sorely disappointed like a herpetic jumpoff. Check out the 10 worst violators…

10. Be Cool (2005)

• You know what would be cool? If this sequel to the perfectly playful crime comedy Get Shorty weren’t full of overacted cartoonish thugs that do injustice to the characters from Elmore Leonard’s book. Apparently rap bores 3000 but making shitty movies doesn’t.

• We gave Miller a shot because he created the Sin City graphic novel (and “learned how to direct” while working with Robert Rodriguez on its awesome adaptation) but all he did was place the Spirit and his corny dialogue in an inferior Sin City knockoff that no number of hot chicks could save.
It's lights, camera, action as we look back at a decade's worth of fresh flicks.

The first decade of the new millennium (a.k.a. The Aughts) is drawing to a close, but we’re not done with it yet. For the past few weeks, Complex has been looking back at the Best of the 2000s (in case you missed it: Top 100 Albums | Top 100 Sneakers) and there’s still much more to come, from web videos to T-shirts.

But this week, we’re bringing you the 100 Best Movies of the 2000s, as we see it. Our tastes are pretty eclectic (we call ourselves Complex, after all), so we’ve got everything from loud comic blockbusters and juvenile cock ‘n’ balls comedies to subtle indie romances and rock documentaries. Check it out to see if your favorites cracked our top 100, and maybe find a joint or two to throw on for your next movie night.

Europacorp struck gold out of nowhere with last year’s Taken, now the company is hoping for repeat-success with From Paris With Love. After watching this action-packed trailer, it seems like things are on the right track. John Travolta looks comfortable as an intimidating spy and you would think this type of flick is out of Johnathon Rhys Meyers‘ element, but he looks like he’s going to hold it down in this movie too. The set-up is perfect. Now let’s hope the final product delivers when FPWL hits theaters next year.

You might want to turn a light on before you watch this trailer. Seriously. Following in the footsteps of independent-horror classic, The Blair Witch Project, this upcoming Paranormal Activity flick is set to terrorize audiences nationwide when it hits theaters (in select cities) on September 25. Paramount and first-time filmmaker Oren Peli will cake nicely off of this too, considering the film’s extremely modest $11,000 budget, but we don’t mind forking over cash for a real scare instead of predictable slasher flicks that keep disappointing us. Try not to scream too much in front of your girl if you do the same.

Blaxploitation movies are some of our favorites, but unfortunately, the genre doesn’t have much to offer outside of the cult classics created in the ’70s. Luckily for us and the rest of the genre’s followers, there’s a good chance that the multi-decade drought of dope blaxpoitation flicks will come to an end when Black Dynamite hits theaters on October 16. The film, a collaborative effort between writer/star Michael Jai White and writer/director Scott Sanders, appears completely self-aware of the genre’s clichés and general tendencies, which is great for viewers in search of something authentic. We hope this gives the blaxpoitation genre a much-needed boost; it’s definitely been long enough, but we won’t find out for sure until next month.
