Our in-depth style video series Cut & Show has taken you inside the operations of some of our favorite apparel brands, from Public School to Lupe Fiasco’s Trily & Trully line. But for the latest installment, we decided to focus in on one of the world’s most amazing accessory brands, Moscot Eyewear and Eyecare.

This family-run business has some serious history, starting with hand-made glasses on a push-cart in 1915. Since then they’ve grown into one of the smartest eyewear brands in the game, which is why we regularly feature them in the pages of Complex. For our video, the company’s current President, Kenny Moscot, was kind enough to take us on a tour of their operation and break down their rich roots. Watch the latest “Cut & Show” below…

MOSCOT (our eyewear brand of the year 2008) has come a long way since patriarch Hyman Moscot started slinging eyeglasses from a puschart down on NYC's Lower East Side back in the early 1900s. Today, with fourth generation MOSCOT-ians Kenny and Dr. Harvey Moscot running the ship, each of the company's locations (Orchard Street, 14th Street and Forest Hills) feature over 1000 frames from top-notch eyewear and sunglass designers.

Besides the company's bread and butter Originals line that focuses on vintage inspired eyewear, MOSCOT recently launched Spirit, a new range that mixes the elements of Originals with a new-school twist. In addition to the great selection, shoppers are able to take advantage of MOSCOT's on-site eye-care services like routine check-ups and visual examinations. Consider them Sunglass Hut on cool steroids. Read on for some standout frames and location info…
