There are many great things about working at a magazine like Complex, but one of the best has got to be all the gorgeous models who come through our office for photoshoots. Perfect example: Samantha Rex. We featured this stunning newcomer in our most recent issue, where we shot her for an article about picking up girls on New Year’s Eve (hence all the photos of drinking and cheering…wooo!). We just put an extended gallery of Samantha’s shoot online, along with a quick interview with the Nebraska native…
In case you couldn’t tell, Complex loves music videos. Earlier this week, we dropped our comprehensive countdown of the 100 Best Music Videos of the 2000s (click here if you missed it), but something was still missing. What would music videos be without the so-called “video vixen,” the model/dancer/actresses who provide us with a little aspirational eye candy in our darkest hour?
The last decade has truly been the golden age for the music video model, from icons like Melyssa Ford to new favorites like Rosa Acosta. Even some of the world’s sexiest celebrities (ScarJo!) have made memorable video appearances, so we wanted to provide a comprehensive look back at all the ladies who have caught our eye on MTV, BET and YouTube over the last 10 years. Check out Complex’s 50 favorite music video models below…
Each issue, Complex chooses one stunning model to pose with three different products for the magazine’s buyer’s guide sections: Hooked Up (The Style Guide), Addicted (The Product Guide), and Laced (The Sneaker Guide, pictured above). But this issue, we decided to switch things up and let you decide which model appeared in our pages with the Havianas Model Search.
We started with 10 sexy models from around the country, then asked you to pick the best. Well, after multiple months of voting, a young lady named Jessica Riccardi from Syracuse, NY came out on top. Get to know this brunette stunner better with additional photos and an interview below…
At some point today you will look at hot, under dressed women somewhere online. Normally, we’d direct you to the GIRLS section of our website–actually, you should still check that out if you’re in search of sexy ladies–but this 2010 calendar photoshoot with video models Rosa Acosta and Tammy Torres is guaranteed to hold you down (or maybe not? pause) for the time being. These girls have no qualms about taking it all off and we love them for it. So what if your day just started. It’s never too early to fawn over topless model-types frolicking on the beach. Thank us later.
Tune in to Complex.com every morning at 8 AM for your daily “Wake N’ Watch” video.
Hopefully, you’ve had a chance to pick up Complex’s August/September Style & Design issue (you know, the one with Kid Cudi and Keri Hilson on the cover) by now. To bring some extra sex appeal to the magazine, we asked some of our favorite artists—including Hush, Mike Perry, Bill McMullen, Mint & Serf and Complex founder Marc Ecko (his creation is pictured above)—to creative direct a photo shoot with a sexy model. We’ve been rolling out the results over the last month in our “Model Monday” column, but we’ve finally collected all the collaborations in one gallery for your viewing pleasure. Hit the link below or keep reading for a behind-the-scenes video from Marc Ecko’s shoot.
We first heard about the the Supermodel Skateboard series last September, a collaboration between the Swiss brand Doodah and fashion photographers Claudia Knoepfel and Stefan Indlekofer (Vogue Paris, i-D, and others). Each board in the series featured hot (and naked) models Isabeli Fontana, Lara Stone, Toni Garrn and Edita. Erin Wasson (far left in the image above) will be joining her partners in Aphroditic awesomeness as the newest addition to the set, announced yesterday on Doodah.ch and available in mid-August.
Using hot chicks on skate decks goes back to the beginning of time, and while a definitive history would border on impossible, check out a breakdown of our favorite Hot Famous Chicks on Skateboards below…
Many comic artists have mastered the art of drawing sexy female characters, but none are quite like Paul Pope. The man behind titles like 100%, Batman: Year 100, and PulpHope: The Art Of Paul Pope was kind enough to collaborate with the Complex team on “Mirror, Mirror,” the sexy skin shoot from our June/July issue. The concept: two hot women—one illustrated, one photographed—getting intimate in a house-of-mirrors. We just posted the whole story online, so enjoy, sexually repressed nerds!
Today marks the release of Reggae Gold 2009, the 17th installment in VP Records’ peerless annual compilation. And sure, there are some of the year’s great tracks on there (Laden’s “Money Over War” is our personal favorite), but for reggae die-hards who already have most of the songs, the real draw is the covers. Not since the Game Recordings singles of the ’90s (shout out to Shecky Green!) has cover art been executed so flawlessly. To that end, we’ve collected our very favorite Reggae Gold (and sister compilation Soca Gold) cover girls, taken a look at some other work they’ve done, and opened it up to you. So take a good hard look and ask yourself: Who’s the dancehall (and one-drop, and lover’s rock) queen?
Amongst the non-mechanic, non-F1 racing set, Pirelli Tires is famous for it’s yearly “swimsuit” calendar, a 12-month extravaganza of the hottest female models in the world, stripped down to nothing, paired with a famous fashion photographer. The limited-release calendar often features a good 9-10 (out of 12) months worth of nakedness, all in the spirit of art. Which is the best kind of nakedness anyway, ’cause you can hang it up at your desk.
For it’s 2010 release, Pirelli Tires signed photographer Terry Richardson to go down to Trancoso, Bahia, Brazil with the greatest models on the scene, and from the previews, it doesn’t look like there is much in the way of swimsuits (NSFW). While it’s tough to top Terry’s photos of girls and milk, we can introduce you to the girls, show you their sexiest model faces, and hopefully give you enough info so that when the lady from HR starts flipping through your prized Christmas gift come January, you can explain the importance of sharing great art (and personalities!) with your co-workers. Click on through to get schooled on the Girls of the 2010 Pirelli calendar…
When we were young, we used to play with Legos; now that we’re a bit older, we play with, well, hot women. But we’re always kids at heart, so in hopes of indulging our past and present, we did a photoshoot for our April/May issue that combined the two. You got hot models in our Legos! You got Legos in our–hmm. Scratch that last thought, but consider this the greatest Legoland vacation you could ever have.
With summer unofficially kicking off this Memorial Day weekend, you’d be lucky to see women up to the level of the models we’re giving you in this feature. Luckily for you, we’re willing to share the goods…
New York Fashion Week is underway and everywhere we look, models and bottles are getting popped (perhaps that’s because we’re the ones popping them open). As we sip bubbles and bed these impressionable and vacant young women, we can’t help but think back to our youth when we were were hiding pics of half nude models under our beds.
Not all the dime ’90s catwalkers have aged as well as the rap we were listening to back then, but we think of them fondly all the same. In honor of Fashion Week, Complex is taking a trip down memory lane with the 11 hottest models of the '90s. We ordered them according to how many deposits we made to the spank bank in their names, so feel free to disagree…
There are more than a few politicians who like to talk about “The China Threat” and how our free market Commie buddies on the other side of the Pacific will be the next superpower. Well, if their model-making prowess is any indication, the rest of the world is seriously screwed.
Over at the Shanghai Urban Planning Museum, they’ve erected a 1000 square foot model of what Shanghai will look like in the year 2020. Not only do they make insanely huge, detailed, and cool replicas of cities with 20 million inhabitants, they, you know, plan for the future. Yikes Matilda, brush up on your Cantonese'our suburban sprawl-lovin’ asses are grass! For a varietyofpics of the Shanghai model, check out the gallery below.
This Kicks And Chicks site isn't going to help sneaker-nerds’ rep at all. The website'which features photos of aspiring models (emphasis on aspiring) holding general release sneakers while making constipated facial expressions'plans to release a calendar this May for $15. If you'd like to learn more about these sole-licking debacles, K&C has created profiles for each girl. The hands-down favorite street wear shop of the ladies: Dr. Jays. 'Nuff said. Check the stable of around-the-way beauties after the jump.
The ass-less shorts look has been curiously absent since the days when the 69 Boyz shot videos at Freaknik and Prince performed on the VMAs in a pair of yellow leather chaps. We’re happy to report that supermodel Gisele Bundchen resurrected the exposed style yesterday during a Santa Monica photoshoot while wearing a pair of ridiculous white shorts with the cheeks sliced out. Some lucky bastard even had the job of lathering up her booty and making sure it looked just right. See some more flicks after the jump.
