Massive Shanghai Model Imagines China In 2020

There are more than a few politicians who like to talk about “The China Threat” and how our free market Commie buddies on the other side of the Pacific will be the next superpower. Well, if their model-making prowess is any indication, the rest of the world is seriously screwed.

Over at the Shanghai Urban Planning Museum, they’ve erected a 1000 square foot model of what Shanghai will look like in the year 2020. Not only do they make insanely huge, detailed, and cool replicas of cities with 20 million inhabitants, they, you know, plan for the future. Kicks And Chicks Gone Bad

This Kicks And Chicks site isn’t going to help sneaker-nerds’ rep at all. The website—which features photos of aspiring models (emphasis on aspiring) holding general release sneakers while making constipated facial expressions—plans to release a calendar this May for $15. If you’d like to learn more about these sole-licking debacles, K&C has created profiles for each girl. The hands-down favorite street wear shop of the ladies: Dr. Jays. ‘Nuff said. Gisele’s Booty-Full Photo Shoot

The ass-less shorts look has been curiously absent since the days when the 69 Boyz shot videos at Freaknik and Prince performed on the VMAs in a pair of yellow leather chaps. We’re happy to report that supermodel Gisele Bundchen resurrected the exposed style yesterday during a Santa Monica photoshoot while wearing a pair of ridiculous white shorts with the cheeks sliced out. Jay-Z, the self-proclaimed “King of New York” has a good eye for New York models. In the video for “Show Me What You Got,” the first single from his forthcoming Kingdom Come (Nov. 21st), Hov plays poker with our Hawaiian bombshell, Jarrah Mariano from the Aug/Sept “S Curves” story. Damn, if only royalty checks were given out for sampling models from our mag. Guess we can’t hate the player, just hate the game.

Spread Your Wings

OK, so we have no interest in women’s makeup or underwear. Well, maybe their underwear. Sadly, we didn’t get a glimpse of any Victoria’s Secret unmentionables at last night’s launch party at NYC’s Xchange building for their new makeup line, Very Sexy. Fortunately, being in the presence of all the Victoria’s Secret angels was all we needed. We’ll have to make due until the fashion show this December on CBS. Stay tuned.

After thousands of votes in the Complex.com casting call, it’s down to four models. Hey, we’re sorry to see some of them go too, but you guys still have a job to do. With the semifinals beginning today, former American Next Top Model candidates Nik and Keenyah face off this week in a real nail-biter. Nik, who first took a landslide victory over Kira 86% to 14% will have some serious competition against Keenyah, who toppled Morgan 68% to 32%. Tyra Banks missed out on this one. Vote now and show her how to do this, son.
