Nas said it best: “No idea’s original, there’s nothing new under the sun.” But when we hit the upstairs portion of MAGIC in Vegas last week to browse sneaker brands on the come-up and potentially find a diamond in the rough (didn’t happen), we saw an obnoxious amount of biting going on.

All the majors—Nike, adidas, Creative Recreation and the newly-popular Supra—fell victim to indie brands jockin’ their fresh. To show what goes on in the underworld of sneaker culture, we compiled the silhouettes that were most flagrantly bitten. Shit’s despicable.

Wondering what’s the biggest trend at MAGIC this year? Nope, it’s not cut and sew pieces, country-club attire, or seersucker. It’s Rick Ross.

Walking around the tradeshow this week, it was evident that Kanye and Lupe have fallen off the trend-setter radar, and Officer Ross is the new sheriff in town. The hefty x grizzly beard collab was in full effect in Vegas, and although each carbon-copy was just a tad bit different, there’s no denying these cats are channeling Rawse. We can’t hate on all the dude-slobbing that goes on at MAGIC every year (“Man, those pink jeans are sooo dope!”), but it’s just not our thing. While a gang of blogs (including us) have been bringing you re-caps of all the tight (literally) fashion that’s going down at the Convention Center in Vegas, we also wanted to bless you with some of the trifey booth babe eye-candy you missed if you didn’t attend the show. adidas and Dynamo Make Superstar Magic

We’re willing to bet you can’t tie your laces with a careful kick of your foot, which is why you are not the star of the adidas Originals‘ web film Superstar Magic and UK “hip-hop magician” Dynamo is.

As part of adidas’ Celebrate Originality campaign, this 4-minute flick takes viewers to Miami’s Little Havana, Arts District and South Beach, where Dynamo stuns locals with his original brand of street magic. Think David Blaine (but much less stunt-ier and weird) decked out in Run D.M.C gear. Superstar Magic launches online today, so go watch it at adidas’ website.
