A few weeks back we previewed the first colorway of the DC x Lemar and Dauley Xander, one half of a tennis-inspired pack that took it’s colorway from hard-true and grass-colored courts. Today, we’re showing the version inspired by clay courts. It’s gonna be nice this weekend, so get your W.A.S.P. on and get out there. Like all of its collabs, Lemar and Dauley has an extensive explanation about why the shoes are the way they are, but at the end of the day, you either think these are dope, or not. We’re leaning towards the former.

Lemar and Dauley is a Brooklyn clothing company that goes hard, like really hard. After putting out classic nostalgic t-shirts and cut and sew items that feature Biggie and Patrick Ewing, the brand has now expanded into tackling DC collabs.
L & D's latest mash-up with DC comes on this pastelle-colored Xander, that will ship to stores soon. Picture warm summer nights, with drunk chicks admiring your “awesomeeee sneakers.” Just hope they don’t spill on ‘em, that’s quality suede.

For their second collaboration with DC, Lemar and Dauley got inspired by regatta sailboats and tricked out two colorways of the Admiral high-top. The Brooklyn crew paid attention to the materials used on sails and set out to create a shoe that would marry the swagger of a city kid placed in a beach setting.
Design cues like a metal plate embossed with braille, and reflective tape were incorporated to represent “touch and sight, both of which are necessary human senses when in the water.” Right. Whether you're psyched on the back story or not, breaking these out during spring time would be a good look. Check for the sneakers to drop at DC Life accounts on February 1.

The retro-loving Brooklynites at Lemar and Dauley cooked up two different color-ups on a StreetBall 08 for adidas' ongoing REMIX Collection. The 80’s babies rendition on the kicks falls in line with L&D’s usual colorful aesthetic that's more commonly seen on their T-shirts and crewnecks. The sneakers will be available on April 15 at outlets like Flight Club, Moes, Bodega and Jimmy Jazz for a Benji. Brooklyn stand up!
