When we were young, we used to play with Legos; now that we’re a bit older, we play with, well, hot women. But we’re always kids at heart, so in hopes of indulging our past and present, we did a photoshoot for our April/May issue that combined the two. You got hot models in our Legos! You got Legos in our–hmm. Scratch that last thought, but consider this the greatest Legoland vacation you could ever have.

With summer unofficially kicking off this Memorial Day weekend, you’d be lucky to see women up to the level of the models we’re giving you in this feature. Luckily for you, we’re willing to share the goods…

It took brick master Barman 5 months to complete this fully-functional 23-valve motor using only toy pieces. Watch a video of it in motion.

A 32 Valve V8 engine made entirely from LEGOs is exactly the kind of thing us Complexians would’ve taken a year to work on as teenagers…if we hadn’t been stealing comic books and listening to rap and raiding our <strike>brothers’</strike> <strike>fathers’</strike> mothers’ porn stashes. Luckily for us, a dude named Barman (not MC Paul, we assume) over at Lego mod haven Brickshelf took care of it for us.

Built using LEGO Technic pieces over “4/5 months,” the engine is unquestionably dope, with fully functioning pistons, crank shaft, and valves that light up. Barman is mum on his adjustable power source, but we’re guessing it’s just a simple battery (and not, say, Kool Aid). Watch a clip of the motor in action below.
It may not set any world records, but this Lego city is cooler than any plastic metropolis we’ve seen. Built by the Hong Kong Lego User Group, the partial Beijing replica celebrates next month’s Olympics with scale models of many of the venues where the Games will take place, including the National Stadium, the National Aquatics Center, and Olympic Village.

The model consists of over 300,000 bricks and 4,500 figures, and will be on display at the Grand Century Palace in Hong Kong through August 31. After the jump, check out a gallery of pics to see the amazing attention to detail.

Like all good ’80s (some ’70s) babies, we went through some pretty heavy Lego phases in our youth. And, given our hip-hop fascination, we have more than a passing acquaintance with vinyl culture. So when we learned that an inventor/blogger named Jose Pino had built a record player out of Legos, we were simultaneously fascinated and horrified. Sure, it mixes a couple of our childhood obsessions, but it seems to increase the dorkitude of both exponentially.

Alas, Pino’s Lego Record Player, which uses a batttery-powered Lego NXT and a coffee cup, doesn’t exactly do the analog side of the vinyl vs. cd debate any favors. First, it produces a really distorted sound, and second, it apparently destroys the vinyl (although you gotta give Jose props for warning us: “Do not build this project”). Still, it’s fascinating to watch Pino put it together. Check the video after the jump.

Check out an in-depth video look at this new game that will cover the entire plot of the original trilogy.

Ever since we played the LEGO Star Wars Trilogy, we’ve wondered why every video game doesn’t try to harness the awesome power of LEGO. So when we heard they were in the process of developing both LEGO Indiana Jones and LEGO Batman, we nearly shit a brick.

First up is the June 3rd release of the Indiana Jones game, which will follow the plot of all three movies from the original trilogy. The only real difference is that they have removed all references to Nazis (the sinister bad guys from the movies) in favor of an “anonymous genocidal, occultist, trenchcoat-wearing master-race.” Close enough. Indy’s whip will be an integral part of the game, allowing him to break down objects and enemies along his journey, but most of the other movie characters will also be playable with their own unique weapons and abilities. After the jump, watch G4TV’s exclusive inside look with Shawn Storc, the LucasArts producer behind the game.
The constitution protects your right to bear arms, but what about your LEGOs? Who’s gonna protect them when the revolution comes, hm?

In response to the LEGO company’s overwhelming lack of firepower, custom toy designer Brick Arms has created an amazing line of deadly weapons for your figurines. Their products'which include everything from WWII guns to James Bond spy pistols to suitcase uzis' are created using the same plastic as LEGOs and are designed to fit right into the hands of the characters. They even produce some custom “minifigs” to go along with the guns, which include characters modeled after terrorists, German soldiers and spies.
