Playstation's hand-held device has seen it's fair share of custom designs, but none as flashy as this club-ready mod.

Since most home video game consoles are getting design tweaks, mobile units like the PSP are catching up to the mod trend. One DIY engineer with the name of Travis took a clear shell of the PSP and installed 30 LED lights to blink when mp3s are played.

The synched lights and music basically brings the atmosphere of coke-filled nightclubs (and raves, if that’s your thing) to your palm. For his demo, Travy chose to get shit poppin’ by using Lil Wayne’s “Lollipop” as a test run. See the bright lights for yourself in the video below.

SparkFun Electronics has repackaged Atari's iconic table tennis game into a functional piece of furniture.

It’s easy for aspiring retro kids to emulate the '80s in their clothing, but how are they supposed to furnish their apartments? Leave the moldy antiques at the thrift store and check out this new LED Coffee Table from SparkFun Electronics, a custom made concept that lets you relive Atari’s original table tennis game, Pong.

Using LED lights, SparkFun created a fully-functional version of the game in furniture form, complete with four original Atari joysticks. The project, which took almost over two years to complete, will debut at the Maker Faire Austin tradeshow on October 18th. Watch two video demos below…

Will this new mouse change the game? Take a look back at the major innovations the computer accessory has gone through.

It’s been a while since we’ve seen a big innovation in computer mice, but Microsoft claims that their new Blue Track mouse will change the game by using LED lights for control. With a wider-angle lens, it promises more accuracy than infared laser or optical mice.

The Blue Track popped up recently on Germany’s Amazon website and is set to roll out on September 9th. But will laser and touchpad devotees be quick to make the switch? We decided to take a look back at the major innovations throughout the history of the mouse to put things in perspective.
