Who doesn’t like a lady in a short skirt and knee pads who enjoys smashing other chicks? Nobody at Complex, that’s for sure. And hey, we also like a whole team of hot girls on skates that could clearly jam us up all night long if provoked, much like the ladies in Drew Barrymore’s debut directorial ~~schlockfest~~ masterpiece, Whip It. Out tomorrow, this coming-of-age tale follows a young Ellen Page rebelling against her conservative parents and rippin’ hard with a bunch of reject roller girls in Austin, Texas.

If you follow beauty pageants as closely as we do—which is not at all unless you’re waiting for a disgraced contestant to pop up in a lesbian sex tape—then you were a bit surprised to hear about all the hubbub surrounding Carrie Prejean, California’s entrant in the Miss USA pageant. First there was the gay-marriage double flap, then the fake twos that were paid for by the pageant organization, now then the topless shots (relatively SFW—especially if you work here, where NSFW only applies to fireworks and ketamine).

The thing is, we’re unmoved. You know why? Because California has such a surfeit of crazy hot (and in some cases, crazy and hot) that things like this are just a distraction from the real thing. So click on for the left side’s best sides…

Let’s face it, everyone loves Lauren London, so it was a no-brainer to get the 24-year-old actress to pose for the April/May edition of our regular feature “Hot Complex.” Perhaps best known as T.I.’s around-the-way girl in ATL, Lauren’s flawless frame and dimples will be back in theaters this weekend in Next Day Air and later in the summer with July’s I Love You Beth Cooper.

Shorty Is A Ten! A Guide To Complex’s Favorite Short Women

The 13th season of “America’s Next Top Model” pops off this evening, and the theme this time around is “short girls” (is it just us or is the fragmentation of reality television starting to look more and more like the porn industry every day?). It seems that Tyra Banks was being approached on the street with short chicks “asking and begging” her to let them get on the show. And as the people behind Tyra’s musical career can attest, if you beg enough for something (no matter how crazy it sounds), you can usually make it happen.

Truth is though, you don’t have to beg us to check out short women'and we’re not just talking about the high school girls we buy Special Brews for every Friday. “America’s Next Top Model” put their limit at 5′7″, but that’s “model” short; we’ve put our cap at 5′5″ (sorry, Megan Fox and your fine-ass 5′6″ ass). Wayne and Kanye definitely dominated last night’s BET Awards, but we really had a hard time paying attention to all that rap shit. With some of the finest women in the entertainment industry strutting their carefully manicured stuff, how could we focus on anything else?
