Watch the trailer for this soccer video game series, which just secured the rights to Europe's biggest club tournament.

We’re hyped as ever for the debate this year'nah, not Obama vs. McCain, but the soccer video game battle: FIFA Soccer 2009 vs. Pro Evolution 2009. A few months back, we raved about FIFA and how it’s finally surpassed the Pro Evo series as the must-buy footy title. But not so fast, says Konami.

The news today that Konami has secured a four-year deal for exclusive rights to the UEFA Champions League is a strong move for the franchise, particularly since it has always been lacking in team and tournament licenses. Konami has also signed up Liverpool and Manchester United (no more “Manchester Red”!) and Pro Evo will be the official game of the English national team. For whatever that’s worth. Pro Evolution 2009 drops on November 11 in North America for the 360, PS3, PS2, PC, and PSP. The Wii version will be out in early 2009. See the brand new Pro Evo trailer below…
