Saigon Leaves Atlantic & Drops New Single

This morning, producer Just Blaze announced that his Fort Knocks artist Saigon has officially been released from Atlantic Records after three years of repeated album delays.

This is a good move for an artist like Sai, who has a strong fanbase but doesn’t quite fit into the radio programming box. Just also claims that they have retained full ownership of their masters, so we’ll probably end up hearing The Greatest Story Never Told on a different label. To celebrate the release, Just leaked a dope new Saigon joint called “Believe It,” featuring an auto-tune hook. Ironically, its the most radio-friendly song he’s ever done. Listen after the jump.

Just Blaze Wraps Up L-R-G & Courvoisier’s Spring Tour

jb_lead.jpg
L-R-G and Courvoisier have travelled a long road together in the past month. The two brands put their heads together for a partnership that has produced an exclusive line of products (jackets, mountain bikes, Nintendo Wii’s, to flat screen TV’s, etc), giving consumers an up-close preview of the limited edition line at pop-up shops nationwide.

Last night, for the final leg of the tour, super-producer Just Blaze and Complex’s DJ Treats turned the Lower East Side’s Reed Space into a virtual sweat box, pumping out heavy-hitting tunes for a memorable close to an even more memorable collaboration. See more photos of JB (sporting his Megatron Don x LRG tee), The Alchemist, DJ Clark Kent, and LRG rep Jonas Bevaqua after the jump.

Just Blaze Is Cleaning Out His Closet

giveaway-lead.jpg
In the spirit of spring cleaning, super producer/gaming-geek Just Blaze is offering fans a chance to own some of his deadstock swag with this 3-piece prize pack. The hip-hop hitman is holding a comment contest on his blog The Megatron Don, asking people to write in explaining why they should win the makeshift goodie-bag that includes a PlayStation 3, Transformers video Game and limited edition TMTD x LRG T-shirt. As a consolation prize, he’s also giving away the one of the Megatron shirts in an uber-limited white colorup for whomever could tell him who or what “Mondo We Longo” is. Check the t-shirt designs after the jump.

Smirnoff Remixs Vodka With Rappers

1253-smirnoff_premium_vodka3.jpgSmirnoff takes its mantra, “Mix Well, Drink Responsibly” to another level with their new music campaign. This February, the spirits brand known for a flavorful range of vodka, enlists Just Blaze, Cool and Dre and DJ Premier to remix classic material by Common, Q-Tip and KRS-One for the Signature Mix Series. With each collaboration, a new drink will be created, aptly named after it’s ingredients, like “Blueberry Abstract,” Just Blaze’s interpretation of Common’s “The Light.” Click SmirnoffSignatureMixSeries.com to download the songs for free.
