As much as we like to discover new artists, sometimes it’s best to stick with what you know. Sure, we deliver quality tracks everyday with our Shuffle, but they’re not always by people that you’re familiar with. That’s not the case today. This mix is packed with some of our favorite artists and songs by them that you probably haven’t heard yet. Start listening and downloading after the jump. Your tired ass playlists will thank you…

Some days it’s a scramble to find new music leaking from notable artists, but the choices were plentiful today. Lil’ Wayne, Drake, and the the rest of the Young Money posse came through with what’s sure to be another hit. Psychedelic rockers Salem dropped some heat almost exactly a year after we first started checking for them. Even Chris Brown found his way onto our Shuffle playlist. The crazy thing is, that’s not even half of what we have waiting for you after the jump (okay, it kind of is, but you know what we mean). Keep reading to check out today’s mix…
You know what the game’s been missing? Juelz Santana. Aside from an album with his Skull Gang crew and a few appearances on Jim Jones records, the (former?) Dipset rapper has been pretty quiet while he preps his long-awaited third LP Born To Lose, Built To Win (Def Jam still claims it’s coming this year). To catch up with the kid from Harlem, we interviewed and shot him for the “Mantras” column in our August/September issue, where he speaks on breaking up with Cam, gossip bloggers and his keys to success…
We’ve been waiting for Gucci to release a real single since he came home from prison in March, and the other day he dropped three Mr. Boomtown-directed videos on us out of nowhere. The all-star collabo “She Gotta Friend” (above) is our favorite, but the other two (posted below) are worth checking out too. “Photoshoot” features our favorite new video model Ajia (the short-haired young lady from the “Halle Berry” video), while “I Think I Luv Her” boasts a beat by Polow Da Don and a monster call-and-response hook. It’s gonna be an Icey summer. BRRRR!
When you’ve already smacked off every kufi in the tri-state area, keeping heads warm in the winter can be tough. Well, now it seems that Jim Jones has endorsed a new Dipset-friendly form of headwear: the Louis Vuitton scarf draped over the dome.
After coordinating their outfits in the “Love Me No More” video (click here to see Complex’s behind-the-scenes video on the set), Jimmy and Juelz birthed a potential trend. The look is half hoodie, half untied doo-rag, but with an extra luxurious swag-splash. And since the video debuted a few weeks ago, we’ve even spotted some Dip-stans running around NYC, draped-up in silk scarves. But the question remains…will the Complex readers hump it or dump it? Let it be known after the jump:
After Cam'ron's Killa Season dropped, stock in Kimberly-Clark branded wet wipes climbed. Next, the World Cup became the official sport for hipsters. There's no cool-guy T-shirt collective behind this one, just pay respect to the 1980 Washington Diplomats or rap's Ramones – Killa, Jones, Freaky, Santana.
