Sneakers Interview: Dwyane Wade Talks The Jordan 2010

Dwayne-Wade-Jordan-Lead
Who’s had the best weekend? Probably Dwyane Wade. Sure he took home NBA All-Star Game MVP last night ( 28 points, six rebounds and 11 assists), but in the sneakerhead world, the big news was the release of his and Jordan Brand’s latest effort, the Jordan 2010. Last week we put up our exclusive interview with the co-designer of the sneaker, Tinker Hatfield, where he broke down all the elements that went into the Jordan 2010, and now we offer up our sit-down with Wade—the player Jordan Brand has chose to carry on MJ’s sneaker-legacy. Read on for the interview where D-Wade talks his new sneaker, the difference between Converse and Jordan Brand, and offers up his favorite three Jordans of all time…

Sneakers Performance Review: Tinker Hatfield On The Making Of The Air Jordan 2010

Jordan-2010-lead
Besides this weekend being the ultimate shit show that marks the mid-point of the NBA season, All-Star Weekend is also the time when the new Jordan gets released. This year, the Air Jordan 2010 is the signature sneaker of Dwayne Wade (check back for an interview with D-Wade on Monday), and is a project headed up by two Nike All-Star designers: Tinker Hatfield and Mark Smith. We got a chance to have Tinker take us through the performance elements of the Air Jordan 2010. It’s complicated, and awesome, and even that little window has a reason for being there. Hit the jump for our interview with Tinker where he breaks down the specifics of the Air Jordan 2010.

Kicks of the Day Jordan 2010

Last night, Jordan announced it’s 25th anniversary sneaker, the Jordan 2010. If you haven’t hit the sneaker blogs yet, here it is: a crazy tech sneaker with a window, which will be worn by Dwyane Wade come February. When asked about passing the torch and how the two relate, MJ said (of Wade), “Well, he’s wearing my sneakers, I’m not wearing his.” Which is true, the man is king of this game. Micheal is gonna be nice though, and is taking Wade sock shopping tomorrow.

The sneaker drops in February. Hit the jump for additional exclusive photos…
