Like we always do at this time! Today Jim Jones dropped a remix to Dirty Money’s “Angels” and A-Trak did the same for Drake’s “Money To Blow.” Gucci and Nicki are featured on the same song, and besides a couple more random leaks, that’s all we have for now. Check everything out after the jump…
Maybe the new year has given Jim Jones a new perspective on the status of his relationship with the original members of Dipset, because he seemed more optimistic about the situation than he’s been in a while during this recent interview. Capo was as candid and honest as he is in Complex interviews on yesterday’s 106 & Park, and he admitted that Cam’ron, Juelz, Freekey, and himself have something in store for the fans. Diplomatic Immunity 3? Our fingers are crossed.

The man of many collaborations, Ronnie Fieg recently took on the 6′ construction Timberland, and gave it a furry twist. The boot which is fully lined with sheep fur is the ultimate winter boot, and for the photoshoot Fieg linked up with Dipset Capo, Jim Jones. The boots will go on sale this Friday on DavidZ.com, as well as at the David Z flagship store in Soho for $175. See more pics of Jim wearing the boots, and if you haven’t already check out our interview with Jimmy HERE.
It’s no secret that Dipset’s Capo, Jim Jones and Complex have some history. Last year at this time, Jim graced our cover while he was getting ready to drop his album “Pray IV Reign,” and now, almost a year later he’s staying busy as he preps his forthcoming mixtape The Ghost Of Rich Porter and continues to push the collaborative BlakRoc project that dropped on November 27.
We re-connected with Jim last week at at his Manhattan studio to talk about his new mixtape, how he feels about the Jay-Z/50 back-and-forth, Cam’ron (of course), his relationship with Game, Max B’s murder charge, and the placement of “Ballin’” at #30 on Complex’s Top 100 Songs of the Decade list…
Left To Right: Charles Hamilton, Jim Jones, Drake, Rihanna, & T.I.

We’re starting off the short week pretty strong around here. A lot of big songs hit the blogs today and over the weekend, and they’re all here for you to stream and download. New songs from Charles Hamilton, Jim Jones, Drake, Rihanna, andT.I.. Not a bad selection. Keep reading to get your new music fix…

As the week rolls along, the new music piles up. We’re certain you don’t have time to sort through everything, but we got you, as usual. Regulars like Jim Jones, Drake, and Curren$y had new stuff hit the blogs today, along with rising artists like Sleigh Bells and Chip Tha Ripper. Listen to (and download) it all after the jump…

We usually pride ourselves on keeping the Shuffle playlists diverse, but today’s is all-rap everything. Jim Jones lets his love for black-on-black vehicles be known. Timbaland drops his first single. Lupe Fiasco rocks out for the kids. Juvenile plots a comeback with some help from Gucci Mane. Long story short: there’s a lot of worthwhile stuff to check out before you hit the streets for the weekend. MP3 streams and download links wait after the jump…
Yeah, we’re over Auto-Tune and we definitely think hip-hop needs to be about more than vapid party songs, but if we wind up hitting the town this weekend, the last thing we want to hear is something reminiscent of the backpack rap stored away in the depths of our iPods. See, when bottles are getting popped and girls are getting wild, songs like this banger from DJ Webstar and Jim Jones need to be somewhere on the playlist. So turn up the bass and turn down your lyrical expectations (although Capo kind of ripped his verse!) and you won’t be disappointed.

We featured one of the songs from Dame Dash’s new music venture on our 5 O’Clock Shuffle last week. Our Shuffle selection, “Hoochie Coo,” can be heard in the video above and caught our attention with its catchy Mos Def hook and splashy verses from Jim Jones, but the high profile collaborations don’t stop there. It turns out that the Blak Roc Project is getting help from several more notable MCs (Raekwon, Q-Tip, and Pharoahe Monch to name a few) with production handled by rock band, The Black Keys. Things look promising and we really think Dame Dash might be onto something here, but we’ll know for sure when the album hits stores on Black Friday.

Just like that, it’s the top of the week again. Fortunately for you, we have five new jams to make Monday go by quicker. Two of rap’s hottest emcees rock out, Nas’ ex-wife comes back strong, and more. Listen to and download today’s killer tunes after the jump…
In case you hadn’t yet heard the news, Max B.’s conviction in that robbery-murder case in New Jersey has ended in a 75-year prison sentence. For a dude who didn’t pull any triggers, that seems a bit steep, but we digress. Despite the sadness of the occasion, we refuse to be swept into the outpouring of grief that is engulfing the Internet today, and instead choose to celebrate young Charley Wingate the way he would want us to: by reliving a few of his waviest moments. We’ll miss you, Max; hip-hop is about to get a whole lot more boring. Owwwwwwww!
This summer’s been big for rappers and sneakers. Fabolous got his own Reeboks and Fat Joe got whatever brand his “Recession” sneakers are dropping on. But no one has really gone in (at least on twitter) like Jim Jones has.
When we talked to Capo recently, he said he was going to rock a new pair of sneakers every day of the summer, and post a photo of them on his Twitter using Twitpic. Although he hasn’t been 100 percent consistent, his sporadic kick posts have Jimmy slowly approaching 1 million followers (he’s currently at 996,387). Since it would be a pain in the balls for you to search for all of Jimmy’s kicks, including the ones where he was “too high to remember to attach the picture,” we decided to compile all of his “Splash Pics” into one handy post. Check his fresh and his hilarious commentary from the twits after the jump….
Yesterday, Complex attended the first-ever Converse Band of Ballers tournament to check out musicians hooping it up at the St. Patrick’s Youth Center in NYC. The celebration of the launch of the brand’s Converse Weapon Evo sneaker was an amiable competition between Jim Jones, Asher Roth, A-Trak, Pac Div, Matt & Kim, and Diplo, among others.
Hosted by Hot 97’s Miss Info and Peter Rosenberg with Cipha Sounds on the 1s and 2s, the event was a mix of laughs and competition, with The Jones Family coming out on top (Brrap! Brrap! Brrap!) as the winning team. In between games, we got a chance to speak with Capo and Asher about ballin’ and performance-enhancing drugs. Check out our interviews and photos from the event below…
Whether it’s something hilarious a rapper said in a video, or a classic line from our favorite TV show, a majority of our time in the Complex office is wasted spent quoting our favorite lines and catchphrases. That’s why we’ve put together this little bundle of fucking awesomeness called The Complex Soundboard—yep, it’s a fully embeddable, interactive collection of the illest, funniest, and most memorable sound bites from a diverse group of celebrities that includes Bill O’Reilly, Bizzy Bone, Jim Jones…and Jim Jones…and Jim Jones. Crank the speakers, get your clicker-finger ready, and prepare to terrorize your cubicle-mates (or fuck up your school library). Soundboard burial!
