It’s hard to say which we’re looking forward to more: Iron Man 2, which hits theaters in May 2010, or this new Iron Man TV show that hits Japan’s Animax channel in 2010 (and presumably the internet, with subtitles, soon thereafter). It’s the first in a four series collaboration between Marvel and Japanese animation studio Madhouse, the iconic company behind a long string of critical and commercial anime smashes, including Ninja Scroll, Perfect Blue, Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust, Metropolis, Paprika, Millennium Actress, and Tokyo Godfathers (to name a few). They’ve also released the trailer for the new Wolverine series, which looks pretty cornball compared to the badass Tony Stark teaser, but we’ve posted it below for you to check out anyway…

Gaming nerds across the world have been recreating their favorite small screen weapons. Watch out!

Here at Complex, we love video games as much as the next dude. We bet money on ‘em, play together on Xbox Live, talk shit over ‘em. But that’s really the extent of our fandom. After the console goes off, we go about our lives. As you should. Because when that line between real life and fantasy become blurred, shit can get hairier than Rosie’s upper lip.

Today we came across a video of a dude who made the chainsaw gun from Gears of War. While that gun comes in handy in the game, what the hell would anyone need with it in real life? Damn if we know, we just think it’s dope. But that’s not the first time someone has recreated something from a video game. Take a look below to see five of our favorite recreations…

CHAINSAW GUN FROM GEARS OF WAR

We’re not sure what anyone would need with an AR-15 machine gun mated to a modified chainsaw, but it’s pretty awesome.

RAILGUN FROM RED FACTION

Rail guns have been used in not only in video games, but science fiction for a while now. They’re usually one of the last weapons a player gets in the game, and for good reason. They’re crazy powerful. Instead of using gunpowder a rail gun uses magnetic “rails” to launch a solid, nonexplosive projectile at incredible speed. Only thing is, they’re much bigger than the little handguns seen in games. Back in January, BAE Systems dropped off a functional, 32-megajoule Electro-Magnetic Laboratory Rail Gun (32-MJ LRG) to the U.S. Naval Surface Warfare Center in Dahlgren, Va. for testing. You know, just incase shit happens.

TROJAN EXOSKELETON SUIT

Canadian inventor Troy Hurtubise never cited Halo as the inspiration behind the Trojan, but he really didn’t need to. The $15,000 get up which Hurtubise calls the “first ballistic, full exoskeleton body suit of armor” looks like it was created in the Bungie studios. Made from high-impact plastic lined with ceramic bullet protection over ballistic foam, the Trojan has stopped shots from an elephant gun and supposedly can stop real bullets. We’ll take his word for it.

ENERGY SWORD FROM HALO 2

No, it’s not made from plasma, but this stain-steel, life sized replica that went up on eBay for $230 could do some damage is someone runs up on you trying to gank your candy on Halloween. We doubt you can sneak it in the club though.

IRON MAN SUIT

Though this suit is just a costume (meaning there’s no armor protection, jet propulsion or hand rockets, loser), it’s by far the sickest costume we’ve ever seen'it looks realer than penitentiary steel. That’s not to say we’d actually spend the time to create or actually wear this thing, c’mon when’s the last time someone got any while rocking a Iron Man costume? But we still give props nonetheless.

We already showed you the debut trailer for October’s upcoming Midnight Club: Los Angeles (360, PS3; out October 7), and now Rockstar has sent over its latest clip, featuring our favorite car'the Audi R8.

Yep, Iron Man’s car is in MCLA, which is quickly shaping up to be the must-have racing title for fall. Unless you got $100K and some serious Audi connections, this will likely be your only chance to whip the R8. Live vicariously through the new MCLA trailer below…

This slept-on actor was just hired to write Marvel's blockbuster sequel. Get familiar with his best on-screen moments before he blows up.

After dragging their feet on locking down Jon Favreau, Marvel is picking up the pace in hopes of getting their Iron Man sequel into theaters in the spring of 2010. They just announced that they’ve tapped actor Justin Theroux to write the script'and while we’re sure they have their reasons, it strikes us as an odd choice.

Like all blockbusters, this one’s sure to be re-re-re-written along the way,but still'Justin’s only writing credit is next month’s Tropic Thunder, and he shares that with Ben Stiller and Idiocracy writer Etan Coen. Whatever it was they saw in Mr. Theroux, he’s certainly had some memorable movie scenes throughout his 12 year career. Check out some of his best on screen moments below.

The Baxter:

JT pops, locks and drops it in this flick from the guys who did The State.

American Psycho:

Coveting another man’s business card in this classic Bret Easton Ellis adaptation.

Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle:

Realizing Justin Long’s fantasy: cold-cocking Drew Barrymore.

Mulholland Drive:

A quiet (but tense) moment from the incomprehensible David Lynch flick. Don’t get it? Don’t worry, you’re not supposed to.

The Ten:

In case you high-talied it out of the theater last Friday after watching Iron Man, you missed the introduction of Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury. You couldn’t ask for a better setup. Through the course of the film, a puny government agent gave clues to his parent company, Strategic Homeland Intervention Enforcement and Logistics Division which actually stands for S.H.I.E.L.D.'the counter-terrorism group which Fury heads up. Only thing is, no one really picked up on that until he decided to shorten the long-form name to S.H.I.E.L.D.

As most comic fans would know, Nick Fury was drawn as Jackson for the Ultimates series, kind of like a remix of the Avengers. Now that Iron Man hit the big-screen, the sequel is set to follow their story, featuring of course, Nick Fury. Watch the teaser clip after the jump.
Tony Stark is a rich bastard, so it’s only right that his house is something straight outta MTV’s Cribs. In a new video, Iron Man director Jon Favreau takes a camera crew inside the different sets that make up Stark Manor for a little tour. Sadly, many of the amenities (including that wall-sized TV) were computer generated, but it’s interesting seeing how they pull it all together to seem like a cohesive building. Watch the tour after the jump.

Ghost would be jealous'Tony Stark has enough suits in the new Iron Man video game to outfit the entire Wu. The game (Sega'all consoles) drops the same day as the film: Friday, May 2. Consider our calendar doubly marked.

After the jump, see all of Iron Man's video game ensembles, plus the latest game trailer.

[Click on each row of suits to see it full size]
<a href='http://www.complex.com/blogs/wp-content/uploads/2008/04/mk1_main.jpg' title='mk1_main.jpg'class="shutter">
MARK I: Iron Man's first-ever suit, which he wears to bust out of captivity. Mad analog, on the Iron Giant tip.

<a href='http://www.complex.com/blogs/wp-content/uploads/2008/04/mk2_main.jpg' title='mk2_main.jpg'class="shutter">
MARK II: A more aerodynamic version of MARK I, built at Stark Industries.

<a href='http://www.complex.com/blogs/wp-content/uploads/2008/04/mk3_main.jpg' title='mk3_main.jpg'class="shutter">
MARK III: The suit we've all grown to love with the fresh USC colorway. Can't front on this.

UNLOCKABLES:

<a href='http://www.complex.com/blogs/wp-content/uploads/2008/04/classic_main.jpg' title='classic_main.jpg'class="shutter">
CLASSIC: This throwback appeared in over 200 issues of the Iron Man comic book, debuting in Tales of Suspense #48. Looks like Tony was up on Uggs back in the day.

<a href='http://www.complex.com/blogs/wp-content/uploads/2008/04/extremis_main.jpg' title='extremis_main.jpg'class="shutter">
EXTREMIS: An update on the Classic, this is the joint Iron Man has rocked in his more recent comic adventures.

HULKBUSTER: We call this the HGH suit. Tony Stark developed it to take out the Hulk. Papoose, you taking notes?

<a href='http://www.complex.com/blogs/wp-content/uploads/2008/04/classicmk1_main.jpg' title='classicmk1_main.jpg'class="shutter">
CLASSIC MARK I: This one appeared in Iron Man's first-ever appearance, Tales of Suspense #39, designed by Jack Kirby and Don Heck.

PLATFORM SPECIFIC SUITS

SILVER CENTURION (Xbox 360 only): New colorway! Iron Man was in this suit when he was messing with the West Coast Avengers.

<a href='http://www.complex.com/blogs/wp-content/uploads/2008/04/ultimate_ps3_main.jpg' title='ultimate_ps3_main.jpg'class="shutter">
ULTIMATE (PS3 only): Sorry Xbox heads, but PS3 got this one. This is not only a suit of armor, but also operates as a compact vehicle. Sweet.

The main problem with licensed games? They generally fall somewhere between Uwe Boll flicks and shaving your head with a cheese grater in their level of enjoyment. We can’t speak for the game play of the new Iron Man title. But, after eyeballing the new screenshots Sega put out today, we can at least can say that it looks good. More pics after the jump.

The game features all the requisite flying, catching missiles and firing repulsor rays you’d expect. But Tony Stark’s problem with alcoholism practically begs for a drunken spin in the suit, which we’re guessing Sega probably left out. Players looking for the authentic comic book experience (if there is such a thing) will have to resort to a few shots of Jack and a roll of tin foil. The game and the flick drop on May 2nd.
