Although known for “Da Bears” and brick winters, Chicago is gaining momentum as being a hub for high-style thanks to local favorite Hejfina. This 1,900-square-foot Wicker Park boutique carries East Coast favorites like Opening Ceremony and Engineered Garments, West Coast brands like Band of Outsiders and Nice Collective, and the European collections of Surface to Air and YMC. Hejfina also has an extensive women's collection, including highly-sought after Martin Margiela. (Tip: Just say the M word around your girl for instant respect.)
The tightly-edited lifestyle shop (they also carry art books and support the local art scene) was founded in 1994 by local fashionista Heiji Choy Black and quickly gained a cult following. Located at the same address is Hejfina Showroom, which specializes in custom and ready-made furniture that can instantly elevate your living space into avant-garde status. If you’re not from the Windy City, they also have a strong e-commerce enabled site, so you can cop some Chicago style from the comfort of your home. Check out some standout pieces from the shop below…
