It’s the top of the week and nothing too crazy leaked today, but the selection is still solid. More new stuff from Gucci dropped as usual; Vampire Weekend messed with Auto-Tune; Birdman linked with Nicki Minaj and Lil Kim. That’s not everything on today’s playlist either. Hit the jump to start listening to those songs and the rest…

The week continues to roll on and we continue to hold down the new music fort at the same time everyday. Today you’ll find selections from artists as distinct as Gucci Mane and The Flaming Lips, but pretty much everything on the playlist is respectable. Hit the jump for songs from those guys as well as a few others. The MP3 streams and download links are waiting for you…
Gucci Mane has given us street anthems for years now, so we’re not surprised that he’s expanding his appeal by catering to the ladies with “Spotlight,” the first single off The State vs. Radric Davis. It might be a little odd to see a guy who was just the South’s best kept secret dancing around with Usher now, but stuff like this comes with the territory of success. We’ll deal with it for now, but we still need to hear the standard La Flare content on this album. We’ll find out if the LP delivers in that aspect on December 8, or when it leaks in a couple weeks. Burrrr!
Tune in to Complex.com every morning at 8 AM for your daily “Wake N’ Watch” video.

The weekend is finally here. Even better, it’s Halloween weekend. Before you hit the streets in whatever wacky costume you scraped together this year, take a moment to update your playlists with all the new music that’s hit the ‘net in the past 24 hours. MP3 streams and download links wait after the jump…

Sometimes we have to look everywhere for the five songs on our Shuffle playlist. Not today. Notable leaks from big artists in the past 24 hours were plentiful and we’ve rounded up the best of the bunch. N.E.R.D teamed up with Santigold. Big Boi did the same with Gucci Mane. The Killers rocked out for the unexpectedly dope Twilight soundtrack. Yeah, we got all of that and more. Keep reading to start listening and downloading…
This Gucci Mane hit might have been the anthem to your rock star lifestyle this past summer, but it’s just now beginning to catch on in the mainstream, so believe it or not, the music video is arriving right on time. No elaborate visual concepts here either. The Mr. Boomtown directed clip is pretty much what you’d expect for a song about getting wasted. Thick chicks. Pool parties. White guys chugging alcohol. The whole nine. Of course, Plies shows up to deliver his anti-tight jeans verse and Shawty Lo even shares some screen time too. The other Gucci videos we’ve featured on here were banging and this one is no different. Don’t miss out.

It’s been a slow day on the music blogs, but that didn’t stop us from rounding up five must-download songs that you should hear. We mixed a couple weekend favorites in with some joints that just surfaced today. Wanna hear the remix to the party anthem of the moment? We got you. Wanna see if the son of a preppy fashion pioneer can rap? All those questions answered and more after the jump…
Last weekend, Wale caused a bit of a ruckus when he got into a physical confrontation with a fan at the Sneaker Pimps concert in NYC. Something like a “I’m Olubowale Folarin, bitch!” moment, if you will. Video footage finally surfaced yesterday, and we can’t say that we were too surprised by the whole ordeal.
Rappers have been smacking up fans for decades now, but the advent of Flipcam and camera-phone technology has guaranteed that each of these precious moments is captured on film micro hard drive. Keep on reading to watch our 10 Most Memorable Fan Beatdowns…
Slick Rick and Gucci Mane may respectfully disagree, but when it comes to mens jewelry, we always tend to think less is more. Not only is it distasteful to rock the equivalent of a small car around your neck in these trying times (if you haven’t learned by now, there’s a good chance you will get got), it’s really hard to pull off the multi-chain look without looking like a douche.
All that said, we’ve been seeing a bunch of non-rapping celebrities and plain ol’ non-celebrities donning a massive number of necklaces lately, which leads us to believe this may be a major trend this summer. What do you think? Should dudes relegate themselves to one chain and leave it at that, or is more always better? Vote ‘HUMP’ or ‘DUMP’ below…
We’ve been waiting for Gucci to release a real single since he came home from prison in March, and the other day he dropped three Mr. Boomtown-directed videos on us out of nowhere. The all-star collabo “She Gotta Friend” (above) is our favorite, but the other two (posted below) are worth checking out too. “Photoshoot” features our favorite new video model Ajia (the short-haired young lady from the “Halle Berry” video), while “I Think I Luv Her” boasts a beat by Polow Da Don and a monster call-and-response hook. It’s gonna be an Icey summer. BRRRR!
