It’s hard to believe that the psychologically unstable, Glenn Beck, was solely responsible for this week’s resignation of Van “Green Jobs” Jones. It’s because he wasn’t. In actuality, Beck was merely the talking-head propagandist for big oil companies, fearful that Jones might actually succeed at creating jobs with an alternative energy strategy.

But Beck played his position. Smearing progressives to the point of retreat is essentially FOX News’ mission statement. But has Beck transitioned from douche bag to dangerous? Pretty much. Here’s a look at some of his most unhinged moments that have surprisingly impacted Washington…

E.D. Hill of Fox News apologizes for her ‘terrorist fist-jab’ comment: Before accepting the Democratic nomination, Barack greeted his wife on-stage with a pound. This of course prompted Fox News Anchor E.D. Hill to lead a segment on how to interpret the gesture: was it a just a friendly greeting or, more likely, an al Qaeda fist-jab of death? Which leads us to wonder how to interpret Fox News employees’ utter absence of cross-cultural awareness.

Jamie Foxx tries to settle the score with Miley Cyrus: On his Sirius Satellite Radio show The Foxxhole, host Jamie Foxx told Miley Cyrus she should “grow up,” and start doing drugs like Britney, become a lesbian like Lohan, and catch chlamydia from her bicycle seat… Man, it’s hard to figure out where that joke went wrong.

Russel Brand offers an apology to Manuel of Fawlty Towers: British comedian and BBC radio host, Russel Brand, released this cheeky apology video after leaving a series of messages on Fawlty Tower’s star Andrew Sachs’ answering machine about having sex with Sachs’ granddaughter. Sarah Palin sure would have been outraged, if only she knew what language they spoke in the UK.

Fox’s America’s Newsroom Host Greg Jarrett’s transgendered snafu: Yet another apology from a Fox News host. Jarrett ruffled GLAAD’s feathers when he joked about the first-ever transgender contestant, Isis, on America’s Next Top Model, making “crude comments about her genitalia and the pitch of her voice.” Which actually counts as “classing it up” for that group of mouth-breathing troglodytes.

Fox’s Red Eye hosts say sorry for teasing Canadians: In what is beginning to seem like a trend, another Fox News apology comes from the hosts of Fox’s 3 a.m. show Red Eye. The cast joked at length about the effeminate qualities of the Canadian military, implying they aren’t making any difference in the war effort. You gotta give it up to Fox’s dedication–even when we’re sleeping, Fox is wide-awake and broadcasting hate speech. USA! USA!

But don’t just drink aimlessly (that’s strictly for Libertarians). Start your evening off with a few minutes of Fox News. Normally the drinking cue for Fox would be the first time a commentator mentions “terrorist fist bumps” or “Muslims” or “Negroes,” but these yahoos will probably be on their best behavior tonight, so instead wait for one of ‘em to say “the polls are tightening.” Make sure to “pause” accordingly, then salute the fatherland with a shot of cold vodka followed by a chugged German beer.

DRINKS #4 – 8: PBS

Next, “cleanse the pallet” with a little NewsHour on PBS. Here you’re going to find a bunch of professors in tweed jackets using complete sentences, so get a good pinot open and take a healthy sip every time you hear the phrases “paradigm shift” or “historical import.” If this starts to take too long, just pick out the old dude with the worst dandruff (you’ll prolly have a few to pick from) and start chugging every time he’s on screen.

DRINKS #9 – 12: CBS

Now that you’re warmed up, flip over to CBS to get the MSM’s take on things. Again, “pause” accordingly and shotgun a Schlitz whenever Katie Couric mentions “main street.” Change the channel immediately if you begin to find Katie attractive.

DRINKS #13 – 14: IS THIS THE END?

By now it should be close to 11 pm and the networks will be starting to call a winner. Flip back to Fox for just a few minutes; when you hear the phrase “scheduled to deliver his concession speech,” pop the Veuve.

DRINK #15: COMEDY CENTRAL

Close out the evening with Comedy Central’s election night coverage. It’s been a long night, but now is not the time for moderation. Each time Stephen Colbert points at the camera, have a drink (depending on the night’s results, that’ll either be a shot of Patron'or a cyanide-laced shot of Patron).
