Sports The All-Limbaugh Team: Rush’s White Squad That Could’ve Been

RushLambau
In case you haven’t heard, conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh’s bid to buy an NFL team ended Wednesday night when he was dropped from a group of investors looking to purchase the St. Louis Rams. It seems that some of the Rush-ster’s past comments (including that the media hyped Donovan McNabb because it was “desirous in a black quarterback doing well,” and describing the NFL as “a game between the Bloods and Crips without any weapons”) didn’t sit well with a few folks, namely commissioner Roger Goodell, and the NFL Player’s Union’s 70% black membership.

The sad thing about Rush’s rejection? He could’ve fielded a team of guys just like him. No, not evil drug addicts, white dudes! Sure, they might not be the best 22 guys on the field, but at least Rush wouldn’t have to worry about them getting big heads because the media was desirous that they do well. Since Rush seems to view everything through the prism of race, we’d thought we’d help him out with the Coulda Woulda Shoulda All-White Limbaugh Team…

Sports Chad Ochocinco’s Fashion Statements: Vote For Your Favorite!

Chad_Lead
There’s a pinko in Cincinnati.

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chad OchoCinco loves breasts almost as much as he loves attention. That’s why this weekend, when the NFL allows players to wear pink cleats to promote Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the player formerly known as Chad Johnson will take things a step further and match his all-pink cleats to pink gloves, pink wrist bands, a pink mouthpiece, and a pink tutu pink chin strap. On his Twitter account, 85 said that if the No Fun League fines him for wearing additional pink, they can suck two tough titties and he’ll match the fine with a donation to a breast cancer charity. That’s how you show awareness, you boobs!

In honor of Ocho Cinco showing more pink than a porn set, Complex is looking back at the polarizing entertainer-athlete’s most sensational fashion statements. Check ’em out and vote on your favorite…

Sports The 50 Most Brutal College Football Hits

lead2
Compiled by Max Schlusselberg

September is here, which means it’s that wondrous time of year where we spend our weekends avoiding our girlfriends, our jobs, and all other obligations to do one thing: watch football. The months ahead will be long and arduous, filled with cases of beer and Costco-sized bags of potato chips in the tireless quest to form perfect ass indentations into our couches.

But of all the reasons we love football, one aspect sticks out in particular: the big hits. Let’s be honest, there’s not a single fan that doesn’t derive some twisted satisfaction from watching dudes get belted by vicious tackles in super slo-mo—after all, it’s only human to gain pleasure from another’s pain. So, for all you sick bastards, we’ve compiled the 50 most brutal hits in college football history. And NFL fans, no worries—we got you covered next week…

Sports The Awesome History of Oregon Ducks Football Uniforms

ducks_lead
The University of Oregon Ducks have long been known as a team that pushes the envelope when it comes to team attire. The 2009 uniforms (as seen above), which debuted this week, are yet another addition to a long line of flashy outfits the Ducks have donned. Even though their uniforms are pretty eccentric, we’ve always dug the Ducks’ style. Since the team paired up with Nike in 1996 to design their outfits, they’ve come out with some of the funkiest garbs in college football history. As a token of our appreciation to these mighty Ducks, we’ve put together a quick look back at some of the team’s most notable uniforms…

Sports VIDEO: NFL Draft Picks Talk Gaming, Groupies & First Dates

michael-crabtree
When the NFL’s top prospects were in town a few weeks ago for EA Sports’ NCAA 10 Pre-Draft party, we got a chance to chop it up with the leagues best new draftees.

While everyone else in the room was asking the players about football, we decided to go left with our questions and serve them up an off-beat, and more interesting interview. See what first rounders like Mark Sanchez, Michael Crabtree, Jason Smith and Aaron Curry (and Erin Andrews) had to say to us about first dates, being competitive in video games, and crying in the video below…

Sports Mark Sanchez Talks Dream Dates, Crying And Groupies

Last Thursday night, we hit up EA Sports’ NCAA Football 10 premiere party in NYC, where we sat down with the most elite players from the NFL’s incoming draft class, including the new QB King Of New York, Mark Sanchez. The former USC quarterback, who was drafted number 5 by the Jets, spoke on a number of random topics, including who his dream date is, what song gets him the most amped before a game, and when the last time he cried was. Oh, and be sure to check what he says when we asked him who had more groupies around, him or Matt Leinart.

Watch the video below to get all of Sanchez’s answers, and stay tuned for more coverage from last week’s event in the upcoming days…

Sports The 5 Biggest Injustices of the BCS Era

bcs_lead1.jpg
One of these coaches may be holding the wrong trophy.

So the final college football contest of the season kicks off Thursday night and it looks like it’ll be great: the Oklahoma Sooners vs. the Florida Gators. But don’t get it twisted: it ain’t college football’s national championship. That’s because the champion has already been crowned and it’s USC. Or Utah. Or Texas.

And therein lies the problem with college football’s BCS National Championship Game (the “final contest” mentioned above). It features two teams with one loss, but not the sole undefeated team in the game (Utah). The most dominant team in the country (USC) won’t be playing in it. And Oklahoma, which lost to Texas on a neutral field earlier this year, will. We know it’s an old argument (even the new Prez is in favor of a playoff system), but just in case you’re one of those lobotomized morons that thinks the BCS works, here’s a list of the 5 biggest eff-ups of the BCS era.
