In case you didn’t catch our recent Wake N’ Watch post, Fight Club celebrated its 10th anniversary this week by holding special midnight screenings and releasing a special edition DVD. Aside from its themes of social and economic upheaval, crazy fight scenes and lessons on soap making, Fight Club also boasted one of the most eccentric characters in film history: Tyler Durden (played by Brad Pitt).
Almost as crazy as his personality was his style of dress, which was a complete departure from the straight laced style of his alter ego The Narrator, played by Edward Norton. Halloween’s long gone, but you can still co-opt both their looks into your own style. Check below to see how to dress like the dudes from the timeless classic…
It’s no secret around here that the past 10 years have passed us by. While we’ve been obsessed with recollecting the best moments of the 2000s, it doesn’t hurt to take a look back at the craziness that was the final year of the ’90s.
Thinking about 1999, it seems like the cult classic, Fight Club, was just as culturally relevant as events like the Y2K scare or introduction of Eminem. That’s why special midnight screenings are being held in New York and Los Angeles on November 18 (Tuesday night, but technically Wednesday morning) to celebrate the film’s 10th anniversary. RSVP information is behind the link on each city. If you can’t make it or don’t live on the coasts, cop it on Blu-ray next Tuesday.

What in the hell is going on with the youth these days? You may have heard about the incident that occured over Memorial Day weekend, when a homemade bomb, made out of fireworks explosives, a plastic bottle and electrical tape, exploded in a Starbucks on New York’s Upper East Side. What appeared to be an act of stateside terrorism, similar to three other explosions that went down during different times of the same day, left NYC authorities completely puzzled. That is, until they got word of a Chelsea teenager named Kyle Shaw, who was bragging about the attack to the members of his “fight club.”
Yup, you guessed it. This kid was tryna get his Tyler Durden on by putting his own version of Project Mayhem into action. As crazy as that sounds, it’s not the first time some overly obsessive, completely 730 Chuck Palahniuk fans have sought to recreate the mayhem from his Fight Club novel that was later made into a movie by David Fincher. Check out these real-life fight club attempts….
