TV Caught On Tape! When Fat Guys Fall Down

Ricky Rawse has fallen and he can’t get up.

Word to Eli Porter’s rap battle and horrifically amateur home jams, there are things in this world that we can’t help but laugh at, even while realizing that laughing at them just adds frequent flier miles onto our ticket to hell. And thanks to an ill-fated on-stage slip this past week, Rick Ross has given us a new one: “fat dudes falling over.” Trilla!

In honor of the BAWSE, we’ve compiled some of the funniest examples of our new favorite guilty humor pleasure, so read on to see Officer Ricky and other endomorphs waging a fruitless war against gravity. Enjoy!

Style Buy It Now: ASOLA Beanie

beanie-lead
With every seasonal change there’s always the good and the bad, and fall is no different. It means the end of backyard barbecues and pool parties—and unfortunately, girls putting away the short shorts and mini-skirts.

However, don’t forget about the good. Fall also means seeing those hot classmates from last spring, the new football season, and a reason to sport a fall fashion classic…the beanie. Today’s Buy It Now, a knit beanie from ASOLA is made of 100% virgin wool. It might not be quite cold enough for it now, but it’s the perfect accessory to show you’re ready for the fast-approaching seasonal change. For details pics and Buy It Now info, see below…

Music EXCLUSIVE! Drake’s Tour Diary From The Night of The Fall

By now we’re sure you’ve heard about Young Money’s golden child, Drake, falling and re-injuring himself during his set at the Susquehana Bank Center this past Friday, July 31, in front of a sold out crowd. You probably even saw fan-filmed footage of the unfortunate tumble on YouTube, and read Drake’s blog about it, so you probably think you know everything that went down that night. Well, you don’t. But Complex does. We were there!

Last week, we sent a writer and a photographer to follow the most buzzed-about rapper in the game on the northeast leg of the America’s Most Wanted Music Festival. We were supposed to follow Drizzy from Camden, NJ to Jones Beach, NY, but our (and his) plans were cut short due to a very unfortunate accident. It goes without saying that we wish Drake a quick and full recovery—if the thunderous roar of the 25,000 people in attendance this past Friday is any indication, he’ll be dearly missed on this tour. Even though our story was cut short, we were still able to spend some time with Drake and the rest of the Young Money crew leading up to the incident. Check out all the candid photos and quotes below to see the night through Complex’s eyes…

Style WeSC Fall ‘09 Presentation and Line Preview

welead.jpg
WeSC Fall color story presentation

Fall? What about summer? Yeah, it’s tradeshow season folks, and that means that all the brands are gunnin’ hard for retailer cash and attention in hopes that they will be spending the paper they have left on the fall shipments. Last night WeSC hit up New York City’s Core Club for a presentation of its upcoming line and a sick dinner for key media, retailers, and brand activists including STASH, Tony Arcabascio (ALIFE), and Amy Gunther (KCDC). The new line combines innovative design, dope materials sourcing, and the brand’s signature attitude to finally lock down the bridge between streetwear and fashion that WeSC has been claiming since the beginning.

In addition to the color story previews and release of the new campaign images, we got a look at the brand’s lookbook, which includes upcoming collaborations with STASH, Marok, Kazuki, and Delta. See below for scans from the lookbook and an inside track on what the brand has in store for the second half of ‘09…
