Everyone knows that New York patrons love the Era in the spring/summer, but Vans making an official NYC colorway of the low-profile sneaker? Awesome. To homage legendary skate spots in four (Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago and New York City) Vans created special make-ups that drop this month. Although the sneaker looks as simple as black, orange and blue, the city artwork on the footbed will have you reppin’ hard on the low. Check Vans.com, to cop the recession-friendly $47 sneakers.

Last summer the Era was a favorite of everyone from downtown hipsters to Pharrell, oh wait, same thing right? Anyway, this month the low-top silhouette moves off the decks and onto the concrete with this tough “deep red” colorway. The half suede/half leather sneaker is a good change up from the staple brightly colored canvas make-ups and if you're too scurred to rock during the snow, put 'em away for spring. Check for them to ship to stores in the next couple of weeks.

Summer's over but Vans' is still peddling more Eras, and this time around they're catering to the fixed-gear set. The three-pack of sneakers that hit NYC shops like DQM this past weekend feature an upgraded look on the classic ERA, as well subtle cues (cog and chains) that pay homage to the non-coasting bicycle. Peep all the color ways after the jump, and if you're looking to cop, click over here.
