Vans believes in being eco-friendly, like really believes in it. Besides doing away with toxic solvents for its upcoming Fall line, the brand will release a Vault Eco Pack this spring based heavily on environment-friendly materials.
This Sk8-Hi was put together using Maharam Messenger fabric, a material that is made form 78 percent post-industrial recycled polyester, 15 percent polyester and 7 percent nylon. The sneaker was also finished off without the use of heavy metals in the dying process. If the facts are a little Al Gore-ish for you, just cop off the fact that they look awesome.
