An artist on eBay is selling his 8,000 brick version of Barack's famous "Hope" image for a hefty price tag.

You’ve seen one Barack Obama portrait, you’ve seen ‘em all. But even though the trend has run its course, we’re not mad to see it in LEGO form. Ebay seller legoman28 is slinging his toy take on Shepard Fairey’s “Hope” portrait in an auction that’ll end this Thursday (9/18/08).

The piece was constructed over 10 days using 8,000 multi-colored bricks, in a framework of 30 x 30 inches. With a reserve price of $600, the seller claims that 70% proceeds from the sale will go towards Obama’s campaign, because, as he explicitly states (in red), he doesn’t want John McCain to be prez. That’s building for a cause, son! See more photos below then start the bidding.

Marty McFly's actual levitating skateboard can now be yours for about $30,000. Great scott!

A small piece of your childhood probably died when you realized that the hover board Marty McFly jacked from a little girl in 1989’s Back To The Future II was actually a piece of plastic held up with harnesses and cranes. Even 20 years later, levitation technology still isn’t available. What the fuck?

Luckily, if you’re a McFly fan who has at least $30,000 taking up space in the trust fund, you can now own the actual hover board used in the movie. It won’t hover, but a prop like this will certainly make your fantasy that much more vivid. The pink Mattel toy will be open to bidders on eBay this Friday (August 1), so lace up your Hyperdunks and get ready to bid HERE. After the jump, see the other side of the board and watch the classic Back To The Future scene.
We’d be lying if we said we never tried to woo a trifey with some $15 knockoff Louis Vuitton flip-flops'but hey, it’s a victimless crime, right? Maybe not, according to the French court that yesterday ordered eBay to pay $61 million to high-end titan LVMH for slanging counterfeit luxury goods.

As part of the lawsuit, LVMH claimed that 90% of the LV bags and Dior perfumes sold on eBay are fugazi, while the online auction site was content to rake in the money. Tiffany has a similar case against eBay pending in the U.S., which got us thinking about some of the most entertaining online frauds in recent memory. Check out a few classic bogus auctions after the jump.

One of the five original cars that Bruce Wayne whipped in the 1989 film has hit e-Bay. Let the bidding war begin!

If you’re a real 80’s baby, you might remember watching the live-action Batman show at Six Flag’s Great Adventure around 1989. It was a re-enactment of certain scenes from the movie, complete with a replica of the Batmobile (keyword: replica). The car you now see before you, is the real deal. One ambitious eBay seller is looking to get rid of one of the five actual Batmobiles from the Tim Burton classic for a cool $500,000 bucks that actually works, just not street-legal. Here’s what he had to say about some of the vehicle’s specs:

The car is 20 feet long and 8 feet wide. The chassis is custom built and the motor is a Chevrolet 350. To get in you have to be able to enter through the top where the canopy opens, just like in the movie.

If that doesn’t convince you to come out of pocket yet, the gallery of close-ups will after the jump.
