If there’s one thing Fat Joe believes in, it’s consistency. Which is why you may often hear him and his brother-from-another DJ Khaled constantly boast “We Make Hit Recorddss.” That being said, it’s about that time of year when Joey Crack is ready to drop another album, this time a sequel to a sequel titled J.O.S.E. 2 which drops May 19th.
Around the time Joey held his listening session in NYC for the album, we got the TS head-honcho on the phone to speak on a number of topics. Yup, we’ve been sitting on it, and now we’ve decided it’s time you hear his thoughts on his now-pushed-back album, DJ Khaled the executive, 50’s first album (and why he refuses to call it a classic) and how he feels about Big Pun’s wife Liza Rios criticizing him for not keeping Pun’s memory alive. It’s coca, bitch.

Over the weekend, comic-book legend and Early-Bird-Special Advantage-Taker-Of Stan Lee addressed casting rumors by saying he’d love for Will Smith to play Captain America in the planned 2011 movie adaptation. “If Barack Obama becomes President,” he said, “who knows…suddenly a lot of our characters will be black!”
Not sure how he figured that leap of logic out, but it did get us thinking: if Captain America was black, that would change his origin story in a bizarre way. Specifically, the Super Soldier program could be seen as some ill Tuskegee Experiment ish, politicizing the story in a whole new way. And if a black Cap fucks your head up, what if other Marvel characters changed races? Let’s examine the possibilities…

The last time we saw Kanye West in the same room with DJ Khaled, he was subjected to the mouth of the South’s performance of “Out Here Grindin’.” What seemed to be yet another example of Khaled going overboard, it apparently wasn’t that painful because the two got together again with T-Pain to record “Go Hard,” possibly from Khaled’s forthcoming Def Jam album We Global.
The single that leaked today features production by the Runners, and Kanye back on the auto-tuner. It’s nothing like the celebratory G.O.O.D. music anthem, “Grammy Family” from Listennn: The Album, but ‘Ye seems a little more into it than the time Khaled held him hostage backstage on the Glow In The Dark tour. Now don’t get us wrong, we mess with a few of Khaled’s “featuring every rapper from the South” posse cuts (watch the “Out Here Grinding” video), and we definitely commend his hustle, but it seems like every week a random new Khaled clip pops up on YouTube that makes us shake our head. With Khaled’s new album We Global on the way, it’s only right that we analyze his most obnoxiously entertaining on-camera moments…
