In a meeting of the sneaker minds, Matt Halfhill of Nice Kicks and Ronnie Fieg of David Z linked up on these Asics Gel Lyte IIIs. A more in-your-face colorway than the Culture Shoq make-ups that dropped a couple months back, these will be a good look, even if you don’t attend St. Johns. The shoes are now available at David Z for $105, but if you don’t trap ‘em down now, they’re going to be gone Forever (word to Drake, ‘Ye, Wayne, and Em.) Don’t be mad you signed the wrong deal. Not only did Complex media network partner, Nice Kicks just launch its first iPhone application, but this Asics Gel Lyte III marks the site’s first foray into the sneaker collab game. Not just fun to look at, NK bawse, Matt Hallfhill included quality materials like a perforated pig skin toebox, ballistic mesh on the collar and 3m behind the asics logo. The sneakers will be limited to 250 pairs and are scheduled to release in October at David Z. Bang.
Not up on Cultureshoq yet? Get familiar. The streetwear/sneaker blog launched recently and already they got their first collabo shoe. Whether you think they’re quick learners or just highly connected, the site’s head huncho and David Z money-man Ronnie Fieg designed the toned-down Asics Gel Lyte III’s that will release today at 10a.m exclusively at David Z stores as well as on DavidZ.com. Oh, and as an added bonus CS is throwing in a bag, hat and tank-top (after the jump) package that hook up to the kicks. Nice.
