Style How to Dress Like David Beckham

DAVIDBECKHAM_LEAD
His on the pitch star power may be waning, but David Beckham is still an icon. As famous as he is for his soccer talent, Beckham is known equally as a style leader—he’s one of those guys that can throw on whatever the hell he wants and make it look fly. Like the Wrangler cowboy-looking outfit he rocked at a recent LA Lakers game. We know denim-on-denim may not always work, but Becks pulled it off better than most. Besides giving you the formula on how to rock the Canadian tuxedo the right way, we also broke down DB’s LA Galaxy kit, just in case you MLS is your thing. Read on to see how you can rock it like Beckham…

Style Before Chris Brown: A History of Celebrity Bow Ties

bow_lead
Chris Brown hit the apology circuit last night, appearing on Larry King to offer his side of the story (”I still love her, I just can’t be with someone who runs into my hand all the time.”) Of course we don’t really care about mea culpas (you-a can culpa our nuts if you want though), we’re more interested in dude’s baby blue sweater and bow tie combo. And apparently so is the internet, since #chrisbrownsbowtie has had Trending Topics on Twitter going nuts.

Stylin’ or wildin’? We can’t really say, but we do know CB’s neckwear choice is just the latest in the long history of memorable bow ties. Take a look back at a few classic examples, as judged by our patented Louis Farrakhan rating system (because he’s the master of the bow tie, obviously). Bow down to the kings, suckas!

Kicks of the Day adidas Predator Gold (David Beckham)

dbgoldboot41.jpg
With Fanatic this Saturday, and the MLS All-Star game tonight, soccer is the topic of choice here at Complex HQ.

Posh Spice's boy, David Beckham will lace up these low-run gold-dipped Predators' in tonight's game, a special make-up color way that was made exclusively for Becks' trillion-dollar feet. Eurosport is stocking 2,000 pairs of the boots, and Dick's Sporting Goods is shelving take-down versions with lower price points, if you’re footballin’ on a budget. Check for more shots after the jump.

Sports 5 David Beckham Goals Worth Celebrating

beckham_main.jpg
Looks like soccer icon David Beckham’s best years might not be completely behind him. After retiring from Real Madrid, it didn’t seem like competing with the B and C level talent in the MLS would be much of a challenge for Becks. Even with the L.A. Galaxy throwing $250 million big ones his way to spark America’s interest in futbol, he’s kept a pretty low profile (aside from going to Lakers games).

But we (like Kansas City) were stumped this weekend when Beckham capped off the 3-1 beating with a 70-yard half field goal straight from '96. The KC Wizards should have known better than to leave their goal more exposed than a socialite’s cooch with the veteran footballer around. The impressive play had us reminicing on some of Becks’ other great goals from his 16 year career. Watch 5 of the best (including his most recent feat) after the jump.

Kicks of the Day PF Flyers Albin

pf-flyers-albin-480.jpg
Tied 2-2 and on the verge of an embarrassing upset, the Celtics might want to channel Bob Cousy, quick. Speaking of Cousy, if you thought PF Flyers was on the one-and-done tip when it came to solid kicks this season, look no further than this Albin model. The upper is tricked out with wrinkled Italian leather, and PF played just-the-tip with some patent leather. Becks has even been rocking them courtside to Lakers games. Yup, they're thatttt cool.

Sports David Beckham Has The Golden Touch

beckham-gold.jpgHere's more proof that it doesn't suck to be David Beckham. Beck's English teammates hooked him up with an engraved golden iPod Touch to thank the international soccer-star for appearing in his 100th national cap. Beckham is just the fourth English player to be inducted into the 100 club, and is on pace in his career to become the most-capped player in England's history. Reportedly the English squad dropped over $1,188 on the one-of-a-kind portable music player for their resilient leader. Besides flossing the uber-swanky gadget, DB now has something in common with this gold-loving gadget geek.
