Design Take A Ride On The Hot Rod Couch

After losing the eBay auction for the O.G Batmobile, we’ve got a new fantasy purchase: this one off hotrod-turned-luxury couch. It’s like the grown-up version of the race car beds that every asshole rich kid had back in the day.

Artist Fred Bailey took the body of a hot-rod, tricked it out with custom headlights and taillights and then managed to make it comfortable by incorporating black leather material for all you fancy couch potatoes. Although the design process of the couch was involved, the piece breaks down into three sections, making it easy to transport around the crib. The auction recently kicked off with a $39,999 starting price, but it ended on Saturday without getting a single bid. We’re waiting for them to re-list it at a lower price before we make our move.
