Pantime Clock Shows Its True Colors

For some obsessive artists and designers, it’s hard not to see everything through the lens of Pantone. No matter what they come across, there’s a subconscious tendency to match its hue up with its respective number from the Pantone Matching System. Well now those OCD color freaks can even use the Pantone system to tell time with a new clock called Pantime.

Created by a UK college student named James Beattie, the Pantime replaces traditional clock numbers with an array of colors and corresponding PMS numbers, starting with “012 C” (the Pantone number for yellow). While there’s no evidence of a rip-off, the Pantime is strangely similar to the Chromachron, a watch designed by Tian Harlan in the 1970s. Check out a close-up of the Pantime, as well as the O.G. Stonehenge Robot Clock Is A Waste Of Time

Blaming your alarm clock for being late is an excuse that’ll never get old. And if you’re looking for a smarter way to blame technology, buy this Stonehenge robot clock and say that you spent your whole morning waiting for it to change time.

Using a slower-than-shit mechanical arm, engineer Steve Norris programmed the Stonehenge to move numerical cards in and out of the display. But seeing as it takes the arm almost a full minute to change from 12:09 to 12:10, it kind of defeats the purpose. Norris (obviously not related to Chuck) should’ve programed it with a poking command to wake up the owner when it finishes. Watch the hilariously slow demo video below.

Time Flies On The World’s Fastest Clock

If you're one of those people who have trouble getting places on time, you might want to look into getting your hands on The Fastest Clock In The World.

Developed by Freddie Yauner, the same person responsible for past over-the-top inventions like the highest popping toaster, this digital wonder counts time to the millionth of a second. The cubicle-friendly clock can also be stopped by a push of a button if the erratic digits are sending you into a trance. Clocky The Alarm Clock Was Born To Run

Some might say the snooze button is the greatest invention of modern man, allowing us to get those extra few minutes of sleep like civilized human beings. But after those hour-long snooze button sessions where you miss that morning meeting, the close proximity of the snooze button can be a liability.

Clocky the alarm clock has a snooze button too, but with one key difference: after you hit it, Clocky will roll off your bedside table and run away from you while beeping and looking for a hiding place. Brand Profile: New Watches From Baselworld

Baselworld, the biggest tradeshow for watches, kicks off April 3rd in the heartland of quality timepieces, Switzerland. In light of all the new styles to be unveiled next month, Complex highlights five brands after the jump to keep you strapped this spring.

Tag Heuer: Founded in 1860, now endorsed by the likes of Tiger Woods. It’s signature accuracy (up to 1/1000th of a second) is way more precise than pronouncing Cablinasian.

Bell & Ross: Since establishing itself in the ’90s, the fairly young company carved a niche in professional fields from nautical, to aviation, to even bomb experts. No, not the kind for pulling Danny Glover off toilets.

Hublot: Satin finished steel, titanium screws, and a tougher-than-leather rubber band are just a few of the ingrediendts built-to-last from Hublot. Wipe down this hand-me-down for the ages.

U-Boat: The movement (gears and inner workings) are Swiss made, and the crocodile strap is Italian. An international collaboration for pimping all over the world, of course at a pricetag of $4,500.

Omega: The only thing better than sharks with frickin’ laser beams attached to their heads is a watch with a frickin’ laser beam. Sorry, not this one, yet. The upgraded James Bond Omega Seamaster Diver self-winds, and has a black face in comparison to it’s blue-ish doppleganger. Thanks Q.
