Early this morning our Clash Of The Kicks: X Games Edition contest came to a close, and after sifting through hundreds of thousands of votes, we found our grand prize winner: Adrian T from California!
After voting over 1,000 times on the winning sneaker'the Nike SB P Rod 2'Adrian will receive crispy pairs of all 16 sneakers that were included in the competition. This year's X-Games were awesome, and now that they're officially a wrap, and riders have taken home hardware and headaches (hope you're feeling better Danny Way), Complex wanted to remember the games with an old-fashioned click-fest where you can vote on who skated (some pros included are P-Rod, Jereme Rogers, Tony Trujillo and Shaun White) in the hottest sneakers.
The contest is a simple as it gets: Vote the most number of times for the sneaker you think that will win the competition and you'll take home the grand prize of the 16 featured shoes in your size. Complex reader votes have crowned the Jordan XI as the greatest pair of basketball shoes to hit the court and champion of our inaugural Clash of the Kicks tournament. We collaborated with NiceKicks.com to pick thirty-two pairs of shoes that deserved a shot at the title. But only one could leave the champion. Over the weeks reader votes whittled down the field to the Jordan XI and, surprisingly, the Air Penny I. The final match got ugly with the XI racking up 92% of the overall vote. Guess you guys are kind of into the whole MJ thing. We would put together a riveting video montage depicting the joyous highs and soul-crushing defeats of the tournament but hey, they’re just shoes. We’re down to the final match in our inaugural Clash of the Kicks tournament as the Jordan XI faces off with the Air Penny I. We started with 32 pairs of shoes ranging from the Puma Clyde to the latest from His Airness, the Jordan XX3. Over the course of several weeks reader votes shredded the field (knocking off all of the number one seeds in the process) leaving us with this final match up.
