Compared to delay-ridden past efforts, all activities surrounding the release of Til The Casket Drops seem to be rolling along smoothly. Last week, another song and artwork from the album was revealed. It’s just started, but this week is already looking like another good one for the Brothers Thornton with the brand new “Popular Demand (Popeyes)” video featuring Cam’ron here to kick things off. After what felt like a million behind-the-scenes features, it’s nice to have the final product. Watch it above.

Whether it’s something hilarious a rapper said in a video, or a classic line from our favorite TV show, a majority of our time in the Complex office is wasted spent quoting our favorite lines and catchphrases. That’s why we’ve put together this little bundle of fucking awesomeness called The Complex Soundboard—yep, it’s a fully embeddable, interactive collection of the illest, funniest, and most memorable sound bites from a diverse group of celebrities that includes Bill O’Reilly, Bizzy Bone, Jim Jones…and Jim Jones…and Jim Jones. Crank the speakers, get your clicker-finger ready, and prepare to terrorize your cubicle-mates (or fuck up your school library). Soundboard burial!
Okay, obviously it’s a little early to be talking Oscars, but Killa Cam might have the movie of the year (or at least the I’m Bout It of the year) with his new buddy comedy Cousin Bang. If you watched Cam’s “Bakery” skits (Part 1 | Part 2), then you already know the basics: Cam has a “cousin” in Chicago named Bang who fronts him some dough, and then proceeds to fuck with his head about whether or not he might actually kill his own cousin mother’s nephew. In the movie spin-off, which is slated for a fall release, Cousin Bang moves in with Cam and helps himself to everything in the house. Hilarity ensues. You lookin’ for that last juice, ain’t you? We all know record sales don’t mean much anymore, but it’s still pretty clear that the Diplomats‘ reign is over, and that’s bad for hip-hop. The Dips’ output at their peak—Diplomatic Immunity, Purple Haze, Juelz‘ and Jones’ debuts and countless piff-tastic mixtapes—puts the crew up there with one of the best rap collectives of all time. Yeah, we said it. So how can we get the gang back on top? The first step is obvious: Get Cam, Jimmy and Juelz to reunite as a team. But then what? We’ve come up with 5 ways to bring Dipset back to dominance…
SOUNDS LIKE: What a Cam album’s ‘posed to sound like: ignorant
FUN FACT: The Dipset reunion album has a new release date: Nevuary 4th.
WHY COMPLEX IS CO-SIGNING IT: ‘Cause it’s Killa, man! And man, did we miss Killa. Crime Pays sounds like Cam’s been in straight hibernation mode since 2006’s Killa Season, and that’s a good thing because we’re not trying to hear Cam on Auto-Tune or Cam collaborating with The Dream or Cam rapping about skinny jeans. This is just regular, run-of-the-mill Cam—straight unfiltered ignorance with more stupefyingly offensive quotables than ever. He’s the rap Larry David, for real! Even when the beats get nervous (Skitzo’s cool but he ain’t really 13-tracks(!) cool), every song is worth listening to just for that “Your moms buys hero(i)n/With no hands, I’m smackin’ her” moment. Everything we love about Cam is repped here, from silly (”Silky (No Homo)”) to awesome (”Cookin’ Up”) to gangsta (”Get It In Ohio) to the silly, awesome and gangsta (”Cookies N Apple Juice”). Seriously, we haven’t been this excited about an NYC rap album since…since…since…

Social networking just got a lot more sleazy. [DoubleViking]
Twitter can be great, it’s true. Whether you’re a Senator talking policy during a State of the Union speech or a candy company just trying to regain some buzz, it’s a networking tool par excellence.
Sometimes, though, the banality can get a bit much. Like, say, when you decide to tell your fans that you’re joining Jay Electronica in a “spiritual fast” that requires you to drink only “natural juices” for 48 hours. We’ll give Puff props for putting himself out there, but we realize that not all of you are following him on Twitter, so we decided to break down the colossally significant event for you*, our loyal readers…
