A lot of camera phones are basically useless'the image looks fine in the viewer, but when you snap the picture, it turns into a dull, blurry whisper. Hoping to enhance the experience, Japanese electronics maker Green House has created the 8X Telescope, a lens designed to fit directly onto your cell phone’s built-in camera. The 18mm, F1.1 8x optical lenses can capture close-ups from far away and sharpen all your images. Each lens (which retails for about $90) comes with a tripod and an adapter that fit most conventional cell phones. See more pictures after the jump.

This new COOLPIX joint pioneers new "Smile Detection" and "Blink Warning" technology.

With a million and one point-and-shoot cameras out there, it's getting hard to distinguish one from the other. Higher megapixels ain't doing it no more'to stand out, the device has to bring something truly unique. Which brings us to the Nikon COOLPIX S550, which debuts two new modes: “Smile Detection,” which uses facial recognition technology to shoot only when your subject is smiling; and “Blink Warning,” which alerts you if your subject has blinked.

These features sound awesome if you're using your digi to flick hot chicks in the club'and frankly, that's our M.O. most of the time'but just imagine if you're trying to take a portrait of, say…Lloyd Banks. You and your Nikon might be waiting for a looooong time (Of course, Smile Detection can be turned off if you like). The S550 comes with the usuals'10 megapixels, 5x optical zoom, 2.5-inch LCD, etc.'and is currently available for $229 in three colors. Find out more info at the company website, and watch the S550 ad with Ashton Kutcher below.

Even the most die-heard sneaker heads can appreciate a little art outside the pictures on their shoeboxes. In appreciation of Nike’s 22nd anniversary of the Dunk, 22 influential photographers will tip their hats to the shoe’s iconic moments in sports and lifestyle for the “Be True” exhibit tomorrow night. The collection is a mixture of old and new work by the impressive list, from Terry Richardson and Jamel Shabazz to Ed Templeton. Even though originally intended for kids, YoyaMart opened its doors this week to Complex's inner child for the unveiling of the limited edition Dalek Supersampler camera. The collaboration between Dalek and Lomography birthed a slick, candy-coated monster featuring Dalek's trademark “Space Monkey” that takes four pictures in sequential order on one film slide. The result: an animation effect on each picture. So start saving up your “summer job” pennies, 'cause this shit ain't gonna buy itself.

Not only wowed by sick gift bags and free beer, the crowd actually enjoys this quirky band's music.
