Technology Buy It Now: Rock-It Portable Vibration Speaker

Rock It-Hi Res 1 WHAT: OrigAudio Rock-It Portable Vibration Speaker System

PRICE: $49.99

FUN FACT: You can go to OrigAudio’s website and design your own cardboard OrigAudio speakers with any art of your choosing.

WHY COMPLEX IS CO-SIGNING IT: When we first tried the Rock-It we didn’t think it would work as well as it did. We should have known better. OrigAudio is known for creating unique speakers, like their eponymous OrigAudio model which was a self-powered speaker made out of cardboard. Like that model, the Rock-It is made to be extremely portable—it’s about the size of a cup coaster and weighs less than a cell phone. Only this time, the Rock-It can turn any hollow object into a speaker. Think tissue boxes, tupper wear, cardboard boxes. It does this by taking music from your device (which you plug in using the 3.5″ headphone jack) and turning it into vibration sequences. And the crazy part is, it actually works. Yeah, the bass isn’t the deepest, and if your MP3 is bad quality, the high-end will crackle. But, trust us: your friends will be blown away when you turn their shoebox in a speaker. Check out a video of it in use and Buy It Now info below…
