Whether it’s something hilarious a rapper said in a video, or a classic line from our favorite TV show, a majority of our time in the Complex office is wasted spent quoting our favorite lines and catchphrases. That’s why we’ve put together this little bundle of fucking awesomeness called The Complex Soundboard—yep, it’s a fully embeddable, interactive collection of the illest, funniest, and most memorable sound bites from a diverse group of celebrities that includes Bill O’Reilly, Bizzy Bone, Jim Jones…and Jim Jones…and Jim Jones. Crank the speakers, get your clicker-finger ready, and prepare to terrorize your cubicle-mates (or fuck up your school library). Soundboard burial!
In his weekly column, rapper John Brown—the self-proclaimed “King Of Da Burbz”—will be offering his insight into politics and current events to the Complex readers. Check out “Politickin With John Brown” every Thursday.
True story: In 1994, I had dinner with Bill O’Reilly and his sleazy Inside Edition staff at a camp resort in Oregon. My father had won a bank-sponsored contest, resulting in a free white-water-rafting trip on Oregon’s Deschutes River. Little did I know that this brash douche bag would emerge as one of the most animated and infamous reactionary voices of our times. Recently, he’s been making the talk show rounds in defense of the GOP and adding to his extensive archive of twisted highlight reels. His Bobby Knight aggression tends to rattle adversaries, but he’s also taken some serious Ls. Let’s revisit some of his biggest fails…
It's been an interesting three years for Busta Rhymes. And by interesting, we're not talking about the usual interesting lifestyle that comes with being a rap star . Busta has dealt with legal and label troubles, the passing of his friend/bodyguard and just when he thought he was out of the controversy bubble, his latest smash “A-Rab Money” has churned up some chatter.
With his new album Back on My B.S set to drop March 24, we sat down with Busta for a candid interview where he spoke on the aforementioned issues, as well as Dre's Detox , Bill O'Reilly and who's verse he thought was the strongest (it'll surprise you) on the “Arab Money” remixes. Oh, and the “heated meeting” he had with Jimmy I that got him dropped from Interscope? Spoiler alert: it never happened. Read on for the real story…
