Music Ball Boy Of The Week: Sean Kingston

We’re not sure who said it first, but our December cover artist Jim Jones said it best: “Respect my mind, or respect my grind.” And we agree. Even if you don’t like a certain artist or their music, if they’re doing their thing'somehow selling records and getting that guest spot money, you should at least respect the fact that they’re out there grinding. It’s only right… right? We suppose, but some artists make it hard to root for them. Like, say, Sean Kingston.

For the first installment of the our Ball Boy of the Week column, we chose the Jamaican rap/”reggae” artist responsible for one of the most annoyingly infectious hits of late, “Beautiful Girls.” Now, we had no problem with dude, we were happy he was getting his shine on, and even kinda liked that song he did with Juelz.
