Naim Sounds Off for Bentley

naim_for_bentley_4_2.jpgAs if Bentley’s didn’t come stocked with enough options, the luxury car marker has partnered up with British audio specialists, Naim, to design a high end sound systems for their entire fleet. The special Digital Signal Processor unit offers an incredibly big sound without all the cracks, pops, and buzzes most amps pick up from engine noise. The Naim sound system utilizes over a dozen speakers and it powered by a chest thumping 1100 watt amplifier that’s controlled through Bentley’s navigation system. The mirror shaking sound system will be an option on all Bentleys and is set to thump later this year.

Dr. Dre’s ‘Monster’ Headphones

dre2better.jpg
So here’s those sleek new ‘Beats Br Dr. Dre” headphones that were designed in conjunction with audio connector brand Monster Cable. Name withstanding, these things are pretty dope. The high fidelity headphones feature a wide adjustable headband, hinged ear cups, and a push-to-listen mute button for convenience. Tuned by Dr. Dre and Head Monster, Noel Lee, the ‘Beats’ are equipped to accurately reproduce the low lows, a signature of the legendary producer’s deep bass-laced tracks. He’s always had a good ear for music and hit beat maker wants you to hear music like he does, “When I’m making a track I’m trying to capture the sound that makes me go ‘now THAT’s the shit!’ And I want that reaction from everybody who hears it.” The headphones are set for release this Spring.

JVC’s Wood Speaker Kit Rings Hollow

jvcspkrkit.jpg
Whoever thought this was a good idea on the JVC marketing team should be waterboarded. Why the hell would anyone in their right mind spend almost $400 on a set of bookshelf-styled speakers that don’t even come built? We’ve been big fans of the audio company that “vibrates the concrete,” but this so called “kit” just sounds weak all around. It kind of comes off as some sad attempt at perversely reaching the DIY demographic, who by the way, would shun this worse than us. But if you’re in the mood to build assemble a pair of speakers like you bought them from IKEA, by all means, rock this JVC-Victor’s Wood Cone Speaker Kit.
