Don’t be mad you signed the wrong deal. Not only did Complex media network partner, Nice Kicks just launch its first iPhone application, but this Asics Gel Lyte III marks the site’s first foray into the sneaker collab game. Not just fun to look at, NK bawse, Matt Hallfhill included quality materials like a perforated pig skin toebox, ballistic mesh on the collar and 3m behind the asics logo. The sneakers will be limited to 250 pairs and are scheduled to release in October at David Z. Bang.

Not up on Cultureshoq yet? Get familiar. The streetwear/sneaker blog launched recently and already they got their first collabo shoe. Whether you think they’re quick learners or just highly connected, the site’s head huncho and David Z money-man Ronnie Fieg designed the toned-down Asics Gel Lyte III’s that will release today at 10a.m exclusively at David Z stores as well as on DavidZ.com. Oh, and as an added bonus CS is throwing in a bag, hat and tank-top (after the jump) package that hook up to the kicks. Nice.

Whether you're running the NYC marathon or just trying to get in shape, we know how to make your ride less painful.

Tomorrow is the New York City Marathon, and if you're running in it, we hope you have your footwear game on lock. For those of us who choose to trade getting up at the ass crack of dawn to run 26+ miles for a vicious post-Halloween hangover, maybe stumbling past the race route will inspire us. Maybe it won't.

If you do decide that running is for you, and that you want to get it together, read on for the best shoes in each of the three major categories: Neutral, Stability, and Cushioning. Don't know what type of runner you are? Don't worry about it. Just stay up all night and melt your brain'the dude at Footlocker can help you…

HIGH CUSHION FOR: Supinated stride/high arch
Runners with high arches tend to under-pronate in their strides, which stops the leg from absorbing shock and sends unnecessary force up the leg. These shoes have maximum cushioning to be smooth through the stride.

ASICS GEL-NIMBUS 10

The Nimbus series is Asics' premium cushion line, and the 10 combines its “Solyte” midsole with gel cushioning on a wide base to give a stable and comfortable run. $120, asics.com

ADIDAS ADISTAR RIDE M

Durable, with enough cushioning for under-pronators or neutral runners who log many miles. $120, adidas.com

NEW BALANCE 1062

NB's proprietary “Phantom” liner helps cut down on odor and abrasion.
$120, newbalance.com

—————————————————————————————————————

SUPPORT CUSHION FOR: Neutral stride/regular arch
Runners with neutral strides and regular arches can run in most running shoes but will do best in ones with mild cushioning and stability. You're safe rocking fashion/hybrid runners for casual workouts as well. Go get those style points.

NIKE AIR MAX 90 FLYWIRE

$125, nikesportswear.com

BROOKS GHOST

Brooks is the king of running shoes, and its newest shoe is springy and designed for speed. $100, brooksrunning.com

NEW BALANCE 1224

This sturdy model's integrated lacing system makes for a great fit and secure feel. $140, newbalance.com

—————————————————————————————————————

MOTION CONTROL FOR: Over-pronated stride/flat foot
Over-pronators need running shoes that have high-stability midsoles to limit their feet's tendency to roll. Avoid overly cushioned shoes, which lack the corrective stability to prevent ankle-roll injuries.

BROOKS TRANCE 8

The brand isn't about limited colorways, but Brooks' tech game is on point. The Trance 8 is a go-to for control, and this version goes green with a biodegradable midsole. $140, brooksrunning.com

ASICS GEl-EVOLUTION 4

Designed for maximum over-pronators and those with particularly flat feet.
